Hi there...if you purchased your Pom from a AKC registered Teacup Pomeranium breeder you need to contact them to request the litter registration slip in order to register your dog with the AKC.

First there is no such thing as a "teacup" Pom or any other breed. The use of the word teacup is just a sales ploy used by irresponsible breeders to sell puppies that are either runts of the litter or have been bred smaller then the breed standard calls for. Breeding smaller is not good as many of these dogs end up with serious health issues.

As for papers if you didn't get any when you got your puppy then, no it can't be registered with a legit registry.
You can get an ILP # from AKC if you want to compete in rally, obedience and other performance events. The dog needs to be sapy/neutered first and proof needs to be sent along with two pictures of the dog and the application and fee. This doesn't make the dog registered though, just able to comepete.
The UKC has a similar program.

If you got your dog from a reputable breeder and the dog's parents are both registered Pomeranians, you should get papers. It's against the law for breeders to not give papers to the owners of the dogs they sell, so contact the breeder and make sure they send it to you or you can legally get them to.

you can only register your pup if her parents were registered and you will have to get the papers from the breeder
sometimes breeders sell puppies for less without their papers
because they don't want them used as breeders
