There is nothing with washing you cat...My advice is go to a pet store (petco is preferred) but a little store is just fine...Cats by nature hate baths....Do not use people shampoo on them ..There skin may be sensitive to the product..They will fight you tooth and nail so be careful..They will hate you while you are washing them but when it is over they will be pis*** but after a few minutes they will be back to normal..Good Luck>>>Prepare for a little battle and all will be OK B.E.N.

You can bath your cat, but not too often and you need to use shampoo made for cats or baby shampoo(tear free). Normally cat take care of there bathing needs but sometimes they need interventions. Especially if they are indoors. If not and you are in a cold climate, do not put the cat outside until fully dry which might take up to a day or two. Usually cat hate baths but I have been bathing mine since it was a kitten so it likes them now. If the cat struggles just hold it by the scruff of the neck this help to stop alot of the movement. Have fun!

Most cats do not need to be bathed. If your cat has skin problems or is dirty from being outside....or has gotten into something, you might need to bath him, but that is pretty uncommon. Remember, domestic cats don't expect you to give them a bath and aren't typically willing participants. If you decide to do the bath, get a good pet shampoo, do not use dish detergent or "people" shampoo as it is usually too strong for kitty skin....plus, depending on how docile your cat is (or isn't), you may want some assistance when you do the bath.

Ohhh boy. No. Cats clean themselves. They're not like dogs. The only reason why a cat should get a bath is if they got into something, i.e., grease, tree sap, etc.
If you give your cat a bath, you'll see why people don't bathe their cats. They put those claws out and it's all over.

I think my vet said its good to bathe a cat every 4 or 5 months. Cats pretty much clean themselves in between this time.

One of my cats hates baths. She's an indoor kitty so I have no clue how she gets so stinky, so every couple of months she gets a bath. It was ok when she was a kitten, but now it's a two man job. Last time I atempted it by myself I got scratched so bad I still have a mark on my neck.

I bathed my little cat few times. Cut her nails and don't get water near her head. She'll go crazy but when you dry her up she'll be the happiest cat alive. Only if it's too young it won't bath itself

Cats don't need to bath because they lick themselves which means they're bathing themselves. Its as simple as that.
