If you got the lion when it was still a cub, yes, it'll kinda grow to know you as a mother or father figure. But always rememer you can take an animal out of the wild but you can never the wild out of the animal, especially a lion or cheetah etc, there will eventually come a point where the lion will taste blood from aliving thing, and once he's tasted it, even you will have to be carefull. At one point or another the lion's head will snap, and he'll attack you, not that he doesn't like you anymore or that you're not good enough anymore but like I said...you can't take the wild out of the animal.

the lion can live with the human, but can the human live with the lion? wild animals are wild and cannot be domesticated; it would take thousands of generations of lions living closely with humans for it to be possible to domesticate them, and it is evident from the behaviour of house cats that cats are not domesticated; they remain wild. a lion will tolerate and even enjoy human company, but the lion better be well fed and have all its emotional needs met, or the human being is in terrible jeopardy
ever seen the movie from the late 60's, early 70's called Born Free? based on a true story of two people who "adopt" lion cubs after the guy kills their mother; check it out and see how successful they were.
i had a friend who had a lion cub for a while, but he didn't have a clue how to look after it; seems it ate glass one day while he was out and it took a while to bleed internally until it died; there are bylaws in my community now which protect wild animals from human whim; no one is allowed to keep them without permit and without following strict guidelines; you'd have to be a zoo to have a lion now
so yes, a lion can live with a person and a person can live with a lion, i don't even think they need to grow up together; they just need to understand each other and the human better be able to predict the lion's needs or else, say goodnight

It is NEVER a good idea for a person and a lion to live together, no matter what age the lion is or was. Lions are wonderful animals, and they belong in their natural habitat. A bored lion may cause huge destruction, and an angry one can cause huge damage.

You can't take the wild out of the cat...sorry..it would take but one surge of energy from the big cat to do considerable damage to his human 'friend'...my domestic cat bites me and I read all felines are wild and cannot actually be domesticated...they simply tolerate us...The risk is to great especially since lions fight with each other when they eat..inflicting wounds on their own family members....hope this helps...

Honestly, no. I do not believe a lion, cub or grown, can co-exist with humans. Meat, flesh, the thing they eat. I wouldn't take any chances with that one right there.

Didn't you hear what happened to Roy of Siegfried and Roy? Of course, it was a tiger who mauled him, but still, he raised the tiger since it was a cub and it still attacked him. I love big cats, but I have no illusions that one can keep them as pets. You can take the cat out of the wild, but you can't take the wild out of the cat.

Yes, but you must remember, it is still a wild animal, and cannot be totally trusted with humans.
