All cats have different tastes. Cat food is prepared especially for their dietary needs, which are different from humans, which I'm sure you know. I have had a lot of kitties over the years, right now I have a great big Russian Blue who wants all the human food he can get. (He sort of begs kike a dog, which is very embarrassing because cat's are supposed to be more sophisticated than this.) But he's my oldest cat, so he can do pretty much whatever he wants. My other cat is a female cat, and she wouldn't lower herself to eat human food, eats mostly just dry cat food, ( probably watching her weight.) I've wondered if human food is good or bad for cats. It seems like the dogs I've known can eat pretty much anything, especially puppies, who seem to like shoes. Hope this answer helps you out. Bye! Oh! and most important of all, why do you WANT them to eat anything else? (Please don't give them real milk, they can get bad kidney diseases.) Thanks.

It's never a good idea to feed a cat food that was not made for him or her. Doing so could cause great harm to your pet.
For example, something as simple as garlic is toxic to cats. In-fact milk we humans drink is a "no, no". A lot of folks don't know this. It's to do with the lactose content.
My point is, cats are smart. They know what's good for them, but sometimes, even they can make a mistake and eat something that may harm them. Trust their initial instincts and stop offering meals that only you and I eat.
In the long run they'll be healthier and you'll be happier. Not to mention, you'll save on huge vet bills.

A dog will eat anything if it is hungry enough. Just like you would if you had to go without for awhile, in fact I would be willing to bet that a human would eat dog food if they got hungry enough. I have been in this same predicament. I started giving my dog table scraps too often (which is very bad for them by the way) and she got spoiled and started turning her nose up at her much healthier kibble. I realized then that I had a problem with overindulging my dog. The best thing to do is put her dog food out for her and do NOT give her any other food, no matter how pathetic she will look, or how much she cries. She will eventually eat the dog food.

Cats don't need human food. They have all the nutrients and vitamins necessary in their food which you normally cant provide in human food without making it taste yucky. The only time my cats want human food is if I'm cooking bacon or eating turkey. Otherwise, they could care less.
It's more of a dog thing.

Why on earth would you want to feed your cats human food? It can make them very sick! The only other type of food you want to be feeding them is a different type of CAT food. Maybe try feeding pet mince or something, but only ever feed them food that you can be certain of being safe for them.

Depending on what kind of "human food" you are referring to, it isn't wise to feed them anything but cat food. Now if you want to feed them a raw diet, maybe feeding a little raw mixed with cat food and overtime putting less and less cat food in there will get them used to it.

My cat won't eat people food, but loves to smell it and see what I'm eating. Fine with me, I don't worry about him stealing food off my plate when myhback is turned.
