That's a cat.

Mine will.....if he thinks there is food involved.

I had a cat that knew when I'd come home from work and greet me....then, go to the door, and demand I let him out. That's as close as it comes.

My cats don't run up to me, cats are very independent personalities, if you talk to them a lot, they will come when you call them and answer you back, by trying to make sounds. This takes time. When I come home my three cats totally ignore me, as to say great you left us alone again. It takes about ten minutes before they even show up. Don't get discouraged, each cat has a different personality and you will find out in time all about your cats little quirks.

My cat waits is at the door when she hears the garage open. when I come in, she is sitting right there, and meows when I greet her. The only time she didnt come to the door was when I put a new bird feeder outside on the back patio. I was looking all over for her, and finally found her making funny sounds with her tail wagging anxiously back and forth. I looked outside and saw a couple of birds at the feeder. It was too funny!

I have 5 cats. They line up in the window when they see me parking the car. By the time I get to the door, they're all there to greet me. Cats can be different. One of my cat's which I have from birth is a pure white male. I called him "Braveheart" because when other cat's scattered when I vacuumed he rode the vacuum. Then I realized he was "BRAVE" because he was deaf.

Both of my cats will meet me at the door and greet me. This usually involves trying to knock over the fake planets on the foyer table, but huh. Both will come when their name is called, even if food is not involved. Of course, I trained this behavior while they were kittens and occasionally reinforce it with treats when they come now. It depends on the cat. My neighbor’s cat is a grouchy snot that doesn’t like to be messed with.

my cat is the opposite. She is 1 and never leaves us alone. Whenever you close a door she howls, whenever we come home she follows us until you pick her up and then howls when you put her down. She is lovely but it is like having a baby! Its good practice for when our baby comes in July though!

my cats are right there when I get home, they will migrate to my location from wherever they are in the house when I get home. They will come when I call them MOST of the time, except when they are really sleepy and too lazy to get up.

All cats have different personalities. My cat use to wake up as soon as she heard me and follow me around all morning. As soon as I went into the room she was in she would come over to me and lay with me. I miss my kitty :-(

Both girls meet me at the door when I come home. Poppy will usually come when I call her, unless she sees me standing there holding a box of butt wipes. Sophie is a little princess - she moves according to HER terms.
