We got a female kitten in May and by June she had had 4 kittens. The problem is we get about a week and a half where it is peaceful and quiet and then out of the clear blue sky she starts this awful howling. I can't believe she spends 3 weeks out of the month in heat. Spaying is an option however we live in a rural area and small animal vets are booked up.

I took her to the vet and all the tests came out fine. She is not lethargic, seems to have a good appetite, and seems in good spirits. She has been loosing weight as she is getting older. She will poop at least three times and not go to the many litter boxes we now have all over the house. When she throws up there is a lot of velocity behind it. We get her this supposedly natural and high quality food. Should I take her off the dry food and cook rice and chicken for her?

Why can't my husband smell the cat scent in our house? Having done a quick survey, it appears that the women of the family can pick it up, but the men are oblivious. Is there anything in it? Or are they just adding fuel to the 'insensitive' fire?!

My family has a cat that's about two years old and this week I got a kitten (since my cat died about 6 months ago). THey're both male and both have lived with other cats before. They actually seem to get along pretty well except for one weird thing. Grim, the older cat, will grab Tut (the kitten) by the back of the neck and drag him around.

At first I thought Grim wanted to mate, but its not like that. One he's got Tut in his mouth he'll start across the room with him. Then we thought that he didn't like Tut, but every time the kitten does something Grim knows is wrong (like climb the curtains) or every time he gets in trouble (like falling into the trash can) Grim is there helping him. Grim even yells if he can't find him.

Does anyone know why he'd be trying to drag him around? Does this make sense to anyone else? I've had a lot of cats over the years but I've never seen one act like this.

My cat is constipated and I have gone to 3 pet stores and none of them had any laxatives. I bought some hairball laxitive medicine because I was told it includes simular ingredients.

Are there any home remedies to help her along? She has loss her appetite and used to throw up but hasn't for four days.

I want to use moth balls to keep cats away from my door. I also want to put some in a house plant so he'll leave it alone. Is there anyway that my cat could be harmed or poisoned by them?

I have a little kitten and it goes crazy when i bring it food. I feed her regularly ((just in case you were wondering.)) So a while ago i think i stepped on my kittens paw! I didnt mean to!, but it accidentily happend. I was bringing her food and she was everywhere one minute she was on my bed and the next she was under my foot! I didnt even see her. She didnt meow when /and if i did step on her paw.
Now she is holding up her paw like its hurt! She runs and walks normally, but when she sits or takes a break she holds her paw up.
Im really scared that i hurt her!
What should i do?
Is she going to be ok?
Please tell me!

They seem to have a wonderful time in their cat lounge.

Which cat do you think looks the most relaxed?

I walk up and down my road almost every day for exercise. If I go to one end and back to the other one, it's just over one mile. I do this 2-3 times for a total of almost 3 miles or so. I have some outdoor cats who love to walk with me on the side of the road. (It's not a busy road at all) The neighbors all think it's cute because they have never seen cats go for walks with their owners, like dogs do. My cats are fixed, they stay out of people's yards, and they keep up with me while I walk.

I was wondering if my cats were unique or if other people have seen this before. I don't mind the company and they are great about staying out of the road.

I have an 8 month old cat that I adopted from a shelter. He constantly attacks my other two cats & is agressive towards me when i pet him. I just found a six week old kitten and he is acting severly aggressive towards him, too.

He has poo crust on his bum, and I'm worried that sometimes it flakes off onto my bed or in the carpet, and then I might get it on me.

He is always breaking my important things, and if I leave a bowl of meat around he finds it and licks it before I can get a bite. Also he gets ticked when I fart in bed and trap him under the covers. How can I get him to stop this unreasonable behavior?

I like the darker colors, like black.
It should be able to saty in a room for 8 hours while im at school.
It should'nt have long hair, sister and dad have allergies.
Im not to sure about what breed to get. We were think, American Shorthair..but is there any more original ones? Or are American Shaorthairs perfect?
Why for each one?
