My upstairs neighbor's cat is in heat. Every night it runs to the backyard and meows VERY loudly and does not stop until early morning. It is keeping me and my family up every night! I've asked my neighbor to quiet his cat, but he said he doesn't know how. How do you make a cat in heat shut the heck up so we can sleep???

He is a a year old. He has had two bladder infections in the last 6 months both treated with antibiotics, as it appeared successfully. This AM he started vomiting clear/white emesis and is hidding under a dresser. He is usualy overly friendly to a fault, follows you around always under foot. In high school my mother had a cat with the exact same symptoms that eded up dying of renal failure.
Please only answer if you have had an experience with this or have formal training in veterinary medicine. Thank you in advance. Yes, he has an appointment today at 1:15 with his vet.

a tiny kitten was dropped at my doorstep. Its eyes and nose are dripping infection, it is flea infested. I don't have the money to take to a vet, and the local shelter wont take cats. I can't leave it to die in the cold, could use any and all helpful generic ways to clear the eyes of infection and get rid of the fleas. I figure it can't be more than 3 weeks old. Besides milk or cream, do you need to supplement a kitten with protein??

He gently bites my leg to tell me he is hungry every morning.
He has leaped up in the air and turned on a light switch to wake me up....he also plays with the door stopper to wake me up.
He gets on his hind legs and grabs the doorknob and tries to turn it when he wants to go outside....is this normal?

they are dwarf hamsters. a boy and a girl. once the girl had babies i took the dad out. i am not using a very GREAT cage, but it will do until the babies grow. i feel bad 4 him. is it okay if next time i just leave him in there. i read that it was okay from somewhere but i want to know if that is correct. p.s. any advice towards my one week two day old baby hamsters : like when to hold them, feeding them, wut to do, etc.

Is this normal, I adopted her at the OHS when she was 5 months old and she had an upper respiratory infection!! Otherwise she is in good health, she plays a lot and she is very active!! Will she eat on her own soon or will I always have to feed her like that, that's for her canned food, she eats the dry food on her own!!

I have had him since he was born, and for some reason he has to stretch his front paws out and scratch me to say hi. He is about four years old now, and I'm wondering if it's ever going to stop. The rest of the weining process was easy. And I don't want to declaw him because there are other male cats in the neighborhood that always pick on him already. Help!!!! Any ideas please?

I have had my kitty since he was 3 weeks old (late December of 2004) and I have always had the problem with him trying to "bury" his water bowl. He's nearing 2 years old now and it has progressed to where he now actually tips it over. I'll actually sit and watch him put his paw on the edge of the bowl and he tips the bowl over. If I say something to him while he's doing it he acts caught and runs off. Does anyone else have this behaviour in their feline and why in the heck does he do it? I know he really, really likes to drink out of the sink so could it be he empties his bowl so I will just leave the faucet on for him?

I have a cat that disapeared for ages. He is quite homely and loved being indoors. Recently, my partner and I rehomed 3 greyhounds who are wonderful but cat has just returned. He is terrified (understandably) of the dogs who chase him all the time. The cat now gets fed outdoors when the dogs are locked up but he wants to come in. I feel so sorry for him. Any suggestions? I really dont think the dogs will ever like him (other than on a plate!) I dont have anyone I can give him to and my son would disown me if I sent him away as he adores the cat.

My older cat just threw up a hairball, but it had blood in it. It was a pinkish brown color. He is still eating and drinking regularly, and his litter box isn't empty. I haven't had this problem before. I can't go to the vet, it is closed today. He seems all better, but I am still worried, what should I do? HELP!
