Now this is probably a "spoiled" kitty ! Am I right? If she eats her dry food ok........don't worry as long as she eats something. I have a year old cat that does kinda the same thing & she is totally "rotten!" Gotta love them felines! Good luck.

I think most kittens and even cats do this. It is normal. Remember that kittens sleep about 18hrs a day. I was concerned about the same thing when I got my kitten. She would only eat when she woke up or when I put more food into her bowl. I wouldn't be worried about it... unless she doesn't eat at all. The first year of a kittens life is all about growing, they will have spurts where they will eat A LOT, and then some times they will only eat a little bit.
P.s. you really shouldn't feed a kitten canned food unless it is specifically for kittens. I feed my cat 1 canned food every week or two as a treat.

I have five cats. Two of them ignore canned food - they can't stand it. The others wolf it down as fast as they can. Also, one of my cats won't eat a certain brand of food that the others like. Cats are like humans - they have their own tastes and preferences. If yours prefers dry food, hold back on the wet stuff. And don't wake it up to eat - cats are awake a lot during the night and will eat then - depending on if they're hungry. Leave food out and she'll eat when she's ready.

you may attempt a million tsp of rice cereal consistent with a million ounce formula or breast milk in her final bottle... i've got on no account tried this (in simple terms heard it from different mothers - yet my infant surgeon pronounced learn instruct that this would not possibly artwork). I genuinely have a 4 month previous that sleeps 10 hours a evening. that is all some schedule and day time naps. infants can recover from drained to the place they gained't sleep at evening. If she wakes up early and crying, I enable her cry because of fact she basically needs my interest and to be with Mommy. (This I discovered from "healthy Sleep behavior, satisfied toddler".) She could cry a reliable hour till now falling lower back asleep, yet has discovered that it would not artwork and could sleep till I wake her up. That e book and "infant clever" have been astonishing in getting my little women evening time dozing down. Get them as quickly as you may and commence a habitual! I promise she would be in a position to %. it up and that's going to be between the excellent issues you're able to do for her!

Yeh, my cats want to eat before they go out to prowl at night and when they come in starving in the morning. Apparently they don't find much game. Good thing about cats is that they understand portion control: they only eat what they need and leave the rest for later. Dogs, on the other hand, will try to eat their own weight if you keep feeding them.

Let her be. She'll eat when she is hungry.
Waking her to feed her is creating a habit that may become hard to break. My wife always gives the cat water from the faucet. The stupid thing won't drink from a dish even though it's constantly refiltered and cleaned. It's just a habit the cat is in and she won't break it (the wife).

Don't worry about that and just feed her with dry food, if you want to give her canned food start mixing it little by little with the dry one.Cats are very 'demanding persons' so if she's playing don't worry, she will let you now, loud and clear, if she needs more food.

Leave the cat alone, give her dry food if that's what she likes, and stop waking her up. If she was hungry she would eat, regardless of when she wakes up. I used to worry about my cat because he was not eating much, and after he was neutered he asks for food all the time and wakes us up to feed him (not vice versa)!
