He has poo crust on his bum, and I'm worried that sometimes it flakes off onto my bed or in the carpet, and then I might get it on me.

Wow if your having a problem with your cat you'd really love mine her name is Ebony Jewel and she is a black Manx and has no tail just tons of fur around her bum and on her legs she always gets tiny turds stuck to her fur back there and poo crust she can't help it and of course mom (me) always finds little turds or poo crust here and there where it get finally gets loose and fall offs. We even step in it from time to, but you know what I love my kitty so it doesn't matter. I just pick it up and dispose of it down the toilet. Occasionally I wash her bum with a baby wipe it helps to clean her up and cuts down on the poo crust and turds. Try it and it just might work for your kitty.

howdy, in the united kingdom we call it 'scooting' whilst a cat or canines drags their bum alongside the floor like that. ninety 5% of the time its by way of anal gland impaction - your vet can empty them for you, and based on the temperament of your cat, could have the potential to coach you the thank you to do it, because it could tend to be a recurrent subject. 5% of the time it extremely is using worms, yet in those cases you will many times SEE the pc virus on the anal area - that's the reason its itchy. Its properly worth worming besides (a wormer containing praziquantel) and if the project would not ascertain bypass to the vet.

I am sure is possible but it take a lot of training. I've heard of cats that go to the bathroom in tolets, but not that.

haha, uummm, Cats aren't like dogs. Cats pretty much do what they want to do. But I think if people can train cats to do tricks then probably you can. You will have to show it buy wiping it off yourself until he gets it.
