She is 2 and I don't wan't to get her declawed for the simple reason I have other pets and want her to be able to defend her self. I have a cardboard catnip scracthing thing that just lies on the floor but her only interest in that is to roll on it and smell the catnip she has no interest in scratching that she only wants to scratch ALL the door frames in the house. Any help would be nice she is tearing up my doorways!!!

I rescued a kitten from the human society yesterday, however,, he was a fostered kitten and did not live in the kennel. He was playful and curious last night but today he is very lethargic and uninterested. He has been nibbling a little food ever so often and drinking. He does purr when you pet him and such b ut he is so different than last night. Now I know there is an adjustment period but this doesn't seem right. Also, he has not pooped since he's been here, coming up on 24 hours now. He even had about 1/4 can of wet kitten food this morning, still nothing. This is my first kitten and I don't know much about them. Is this normal or should I worry? He is 10 weeks old.

Ok, I keep my Cat inside during the night as there are all sorts of things out there! But seeing that she is Tokanese, she wants to get out and play during the day (or she winges all day long!). But sometimes she gets a bit too playful!

She brings in small lizards, Rats (I found it dead in my room with it in her mouth) and the most dangerous of all... snakes. As we live in Australia, we have I think 6 of the top 10 most venemous snakes in the world and 4 of those breads live are around where I live.

Is there a way that she wont bring stuff in yet I can still let her outside?

Oh yes, I do feed her enough, im filling her bowl twice a day and she comes inside to eat

Thanks

PS Is she trying to show off to the 3 of the cats next door? (she does play with the next door cats)

ok I would never want to buy a food 4 my cat that would harm him in any way or cause him pain and would be an extra vet visit. so what makes certain brands bad other than filler foods( which I guess jus don't have much nutriton, like stuffing) I have a 4 month male orange tabby( do they need extra wet food so they don't get a uninary tract infection?) what are the side affects from feeding my cat well known cat brands u find in the grocery store like Friskies, iams, purina? stuff like that. will those foods harm my kitty and how? what makes Fedile cat food so good( from what I've read on other questions on here they say that's a real good one) and where would I find the "good" cat food?

I found myself an owner of a small kitten. I think he is about 3 months old.
It's always crying.
How often do you feed a small kitten?

She said it can cause crystals to orm in their kidneys. Someone else once told me though that adult cats can't have too much soft food because they won't drink enough water if they do. My male is currently eating dry Royal Canin Siamese formula, should I change his food or is the other person wrong? My cat is a neutered 3 1/2 year old male Siamese who weighs 25 lbs, but he is a big cat and it's not all fat on him. I love my cat and wants what is best for him.

In Canada, I used to give them hairball medicine, but I haven't been able to find any in Mexico. Is there a "home" remedy. My cat has long hair and spends most of her waking life grooming herself. (see avatar)

I really would like another kitten to raise, but Mr Captain says no. He says that 2 cats are enough. I think another one would be fine. What do you think?

ok, so I have a cat and his name is King, and he's 5 years old- I'm adopting another cat and she is 3 and her name is Olive- King has been used to being the only cat for all his life, but Olive is used to being around other cats, so I'm not worried about her- but do you think King will have a problem with the new addition? How should I introduce them, without any conflict?

One of my cats has dandruff. I really don't want to try giving him a bath. Any other ways to get rid of the white flaky stuff?

I have 2 cats...both are indoor...and I try to bath them about once a month...I can typically give one a bath in the tub (she will stand somewhat still), but I have to put the other one in the shower and hold the door closed b/c he hates water (he's a long haired cat and desperately needs a bath again)...however, I've started making progress with him and he will sit in the tub and let me turn the water on...but just a drizzle and he has started to play with the water now. I'm afraid that if I put him in the shower again I'm going to lose all the progress that I've made but I'm not sure if I can get him to stay somewhere close to still in the tub long enough for me to bath him...any suggestions???

My friend brought a cat home the other day and we immediately noticed that it had fleas. We bought shampoo and washed the cat twice and left it in the bathroom overnight. The next day, we let the cat into our room (I should mention that we have no carpets in the room or bathroom), only after putting another flea treatment on the back of her neck, but I put the cat back in the bathroom because there were still fleas on her. Later that night we decided we could no longer deal with the problem, so we got rid of the cat.

We bleached our room and washed all our clothes, but I found a flea on my foot this morning. Is it possible that the fleas got on my bed? I can't stand the thought that there are fleas in my room because I know that they can carry serious diseases with them, but I'm not sure if finding this one flea was just a chance occurance or if I should expect more. Any advice would help.

She is about 3 yrs old very healthy and her teeth look fine. I will NOT brush her teeth, so don't go there. She eats dry food and gets a can about every week, she drinks water all the time, really her breath is enough to turn your stomach. Help.
