Do you have a scratch post? How about a couple of toys that have catnip inside for you to toss them every now and then? Change their toys so they don't get bored playing with the say toys. Also, make it easy for them to perch on the window sill (PLEASE make sure the windows are closed!) so they can watch the world and the birds and pigeons...

a couple of scratch posts, get a cat tree or a cat condo some different types of toys get a string toy that you can use to play with them don't leave it out when you aren't playing with them.

you have to understand cats-we are not neccessarily here to 'please' them- there are her to please us.they will love unconditionally no matter what,they will go out hunting and bring back a prize for their master;rather than eat it to show their gratitude towards you and thanking you for taking care of them,providing them w/food,shelter,and the occasionly pettting.little suggestion:see if you can get from the libray a video on 'Felines and the role they play'-something to that nature.you will understand a whole heck of alot more!!!
