Dogs need more attention than cats do. I prefer cats because I am never home, and I'd feel bad leaving a dog alone all day. Comparing cats and dogs is sort of like comparing oil and water. I love dogs, but they stink when it rains, and leave fur everywhere. I know lots of cat haters are thinking, cats stink! They don't stink, there litter box does, and if you scoop it out once a day, it's not a very big deal.
Maybe you should leave 'pet' talk out of your conversations with girls. I try to avoid anything that might cause an argument with someone. It sounds like you might have something against cat lovers, and that will start out on a negative foot anyway. Like it's doomed from the get go, because you already know it hasn't worked out in the past with a cat girl.

I own three cats and I am Sweet and lovable..... My hubby likes me .....! Maybe it is just coincidence! And if I had my way, I would have a puppy too though, just have not ventured down that path yet....! I have my hands full with the family and three cats at the moment... I keep thinking soon but it has not happened yet! So who knows, but don't give up hope .... Someone will come around! ♥ When you least expect it.... Best wishes ♥

EDIT: OK.... First off guy above me has it all wrong, I am not a *****! And to the other guy, My home does not stink because, I have trained my cats to have the litter box in the garage, so my home smells nice always! They are very clean, and anyone coming over would never know they were here if they did not see them... So your statement is not true... It just takes a little effort and it worked out well.... If you love your wife, reconsider.... ♥ :o)

Try reading some of Desmond Morris's books. In one (I forget which title) he has a lengthy piece in which he compares the characteristics of dog with cat owners.

From my recollection, Morris states that cat owners are often better educated, tend to have professional status jobs, have less aggressive natures and are usually more caring (than dog owners).

Of course, this is a great generalisation - but when did you last see a cat owner walking along the road in a sleeveless T shirt, arms covered in tatoos, shaven headed, a ring through his nose, and leading a cat which is wearing a big studded collar showing the name Fang or Tyson?!!

But which ever animal you own - look after it with care.

A person who loves animals generally loves cats and dogs, however there are some women who own dogs that don't like cats and vice versa.
Havent you heard the saying "Everything takes after its owner"?
Cat owners, do have a certain personality, I myself love dogs and cats, but I admit you do have to have a certain something when you own a cat because of general feline personalities, dogs are more amicable than cats and thought to be more loyal or intelligent, (which is not true, both animals are trainable and will obey commands) and cats well they are thought to be finicky.

I'm inclined to state that I believe there are certain personality differences in humans.....this is only natural, of course, but certain people prefer dogs, and others prefer cats. And this DOES say a little something about your personality.

Have you tried dating any women who love both cats AND dogs. Because (and I'm not trying to offend anyone here), I've noticed that people who like both tend to be a little more "well-rounded" emotionally.

cat lovers love cats and dog people love dogs. personally, i like both, but i love cats, you can leave cats unattended for more than 3 hours and they will be alright..cats don't stink if you scoop their poop everyday and throw some baking soda in the litter to counteract the cat pee, as far as the relationship thing goes, the most important thing in a relationship is communication and meeting each other half way, regardless of liking cats or dogs

Cats don't cower and run off with there tails tucked between there legs. They are proud. They dont follow there masters around. They wont beg for your food, they are not vocally loud, they dont carry your dirty underwear around in there mouth. they dont treat a pair of smelly socks like its rare gold. and a male cat will not hump another male cat.

Maybe the fact that you dont like women who own cats verses dogs just means you can't handle a woman who refuses to be puddy in your hands, and displays a strong independant mind.

dogs are ok tho
