My cat had kittens roughly 2 weeks ago. She had two and one died after three days. It had extremely white, almost yellow gums and tongue and then is appeared to seizure and die. Because of where I live a vet was not an option.

The kitten left is 2 weeks old and seems healthy. She is growing and has gained weight, but today I noticed her gum color was a really pale pink. She is warm and being a 2 week old kitten sleeps most of the day. She does climb around when the mom goes in but hasn't been nursing as much as usual. I would like to do the pinch test but because she is so small there I'm scared to try and besides that there is not much skin there.

There's lots of stray cats where i live, and they keep breeding, well one of them i got all 5 of the kittens into new loving homes (the kittens are only about 5 weeks, but they eat solid food) Well that was yesterday, and now today, i let the momma cat in to visit her baby cuz i kept 1 of them, and she started feeding it and nursing it. well after like 5 minuts she acted like she wanted to go back outside, so i let her back out, and now she is siting outside my door just crying cuz she wants her babies back. and now i'm sad cuz i dont' know what to do, if i give her back her baby, then it will risk being ran over, or someone else may snatch it and i'll never see it again. but i really want the momma to be happy, i can't keep her in my house, cuz i have 1 big male cat that doesn't get along with her (i locked him in the bathroom when i let her in). So i'm wondering if this will have any affects on her such as deppresion, and if she can die from being sad. thanks.

I got a kitten (4 months old) in April he was fine then about 2 months ago I got another kitten. The more recent kitten had blood in its stool so I gave her some medication to clear it up but both of them now for over 2 weeks have had diarreah. I changed the food to IAMS and it's been a little less then a week and the still have it. What should I do because I can't afford a vet.

When we adopted two of our cats from the local shelter 2.5 years ago, they had urinary tract infections and the doctor said that they needed to be on Friskies' Special Diet for life (they were also given meds and the infections resolved). Now, we've adopted a new cat who is not fond of this special diet--seriously, she protested by dropping the kibbles into the litter box (we had slowly acclimated her to the food by mixing her shelter food with the special diet food over a month-long period; but still she waged this protest and seems to have gastrointestinal issues which I think may be associated with the food).

So, my question is, must we keep the other two cats on the special diet when the issue resolved itself over two years ago? I'd like all 3 cats on the same diet. Anyone else have a similar experience?

Is there a way to safely brush a cat's teeth? the vet says we should brush his teeth to remove plaque but he's got big sharp ones and nobody wants to volenteer to put there fingers near there. We tried the stuff you spray in his mouth to clean his teeth but he doesn't like it.

We found a kitten in the middle of no where today and I can tell there is something wrong with it. She can't really walk. When she walks, she stumbles and will just fall over, then get up and walk a little and fall over again. She's shaky-like, like maybe there's something wrong with her nervous system. There were 2 kittens and they both were acting the same, but we couldn't catch the other. It walked the same, etc. Someone most likely abandoned them. She won't eat or drink anything either. She also keeps sneezing and her nose is a little crusty, but we're assuming that that part of it is an upper respiratory infection. I have 9 cats already, so we're keeping her away from them until we can take her to the vet (tomorrow) so they don't get sick too.
Does anyone know what might be wrong with her? I've looked online and I can't find anything, but then again I don't know what to look for. I'm taking her to the vet tomorrow, but I'm worried.
Any help is greatly appreciated!
