One of our largest chickens (she's a mix of light brahma and partidge wyandote) is normally quite clumsy but is a real character, very docile and also very greedy.

Luckily her personality hasnt changed but when i went to go and feed the hens this morning, she tumbled out of the hutch, wobbled a bit stepped forward and fell over. i went to go and get the food and she and the others followed me as usual but she was lagging behind and tumbling about as if she was drunk often to either side.

Her appetite and behaviour is normal, she has just moulted but her feathers look ok, her comb is nice and pink but im conserned that her leg(s) may be injured...she has feathered legs so we cant really see them.

i saw on the internet that bird flu symptoms can cause lack of co-ordination etc

what shall i do? she is one of our favourite hens so we wouldnt put her down...any suggestions as to what may be wrong with her and how to treat it?

My 13 week old cockatiel tail feathers looked quite shabby. they were getting bent and breaking off. the cage I have is very large (FLIGHT CAGE). so I know it can't be the space is to small. and They looked awfull, so I decided to cut them, shorter so it would not annoy the bird so much,, is it ok that I did this? it didn't hurt it all. I think it feels and looks much better. is this normal for their feathers to look like this ,at this age? the rest of his feathers look beautifull. but it does pull out small fuzzy ones. I keep them with lots of toys, and human interaction, good food everyday, sunlight, lots of love and atten. They are happy birds.
I have a 9 year old tiel also, but I rescued her, and she looks 10 shades lighter, then before. They donot pick at one another at all. so I know this can't be it either. but I'm not familiar with younger tiels. any suggestions?

ive had my budgie for awhile and when my other bird died it started biting me and wow does he bite hard lol and everytime he bites me i flick him and yell no bite but that seems to make him madder and i dont want him to think i hate him but sadly i really am starting to. and i think he does kinda trust me cause he always flies up to me when im just standing there and eats from my hand and im always nice to him but i dont get why hes biting me all the time. and when he gets off hes always nibbling the cage and chirping at it and i dont get why he does that cause he does it to my fingers too and then he will bite me....why does he chirp like that and sometimes some seed thing comes up and eww it grosses me out lol...so like two questions..why does he do that and how do i stop him from biting me and yes i do give him treats when hes good so idk what it is...i hate yelling at him cause then i feel bad when i do so can anyone tell me a good answer...? and sorry this is so long ahaha

i have this cocktail and i haven't had him long. I have him out every day although hes not tame and he goes in his cage when he wants, which i dont mind at all. However tonight ive had him out and needed to catch to put him back in his cage so that he could settle for the night etc, In this process ive managed to get him and ACCIDENTLY pulled ALL his tail feathers out each and every one of them and god do i feel guilty.

Can he still fly? what do i do? And more importantly Will he be ok???????

uhmm, hi. i've had parakeets for almost 2 years. first, i had a blue and green bird but then later on, the blue one passed away :/ . so i got a white bird. then after a year, my dad accidentally left the cage door a little open, so my green one ran away -_- T_T. a few weeks ago, i bought another brid. he's bright blue. long time ago, i used to be very 'into' my birds and watched them everyday. and i'm sure that they liked me too. the white one, (my favorite bird so far) has learned to perch on my finger for almost a year. the birds were kept in the garage becuase my mom dislikes the feathers and the smell. later on, my dad said that they'd be better off outside in my backyard. now it is hanging a little higher than my head on the brick wall. whenever i put my finger in the cage and get my white bird ( rex) to go on my finger, it steps away like he is scared. he NEVER really likes to be outside his cage.(i think) . although on internet, it says that birds want to explore outside and lik

I have a 15 month old quaker parrot named pixel! i have just noticed that her feathers are no longer as well kept as she usulaly keeps them. Also, she does not as willingly come out of her cage for me. I've also noticed a few blood feathers on her and larger feathers on the bottom of her cage. What is going on? IS she sick or something? Thanks!

I plan to get a pigeon to hand raise at some point(hopfully a female) but I'm kind of curious. I know when she gets older she'll start learning how to fly. I have read about pigeons that were hand raised learn to fly on their own.

But I still wonder if when I get mine if she'll figure it out herself. Not sure.

What do ya think?

(no jokes or ridiculous answers please)

I just recently got an african grey, I am new the species and the personality of my bird so I was just wondering if this is something all birds do or dose it sound like there might be something wrong. When he perches on my finger he lets his wings droop down, he kind of leans forward and his wings go down to where they are almost touching my fingers. Another thing I have noticed is when I hold him he will open and close his mouth every few seconds and makes a little clicking sound. He is eating, drinking and sleeping fine and it seems like he is okay, I just wasn’t sure about these behaviors.
