Are you aware of what goes on behind the pet shop scene? Breeders seem alright to me... I don't know what to think about them.
I refused to get my dog from a breeder/shop, I got mine from the pound. He's already trained, and much cheaper!

I'm sick of that dog! I'ts bad enough it sleeps in the house. It never stops barking. I bought it a shock-collar, so it stops barking.

Why won't my sister let me use it with the dog?

He's a one year old yellow lab. We put him in a cage and put something underneath the cage so it doesn't make much noise when he moves around. When we return from home he makes a hole or scratches the paint off the floor in the garage.

I've been trying to train my dog, and it hasn't been successful. As she learns the command "down," she thinks that laying down will earn her a treat. I try teaching her other things, but "down" is what she always does!

how much should i pay a house sitter if they're going to watch my house for a week? They will have to feed my cats, my dog, and my fish. They will need to walk the dog three times a day and clean the cat box once a day. What would you pay someone to do all of that?

note: they get to stay at our house and we'll pay for the meals (they're in college so this to them is a great deal)

I am trying to firgure out the correct color term for the color pattern on my rabbit. Here is the web address you can go to to see him(Jazz): http://s245.photobucket.com/albums/gg75/horsegurl_2010/

This is what color I think he might be but am not sure: Broken: white with any color patches or spots, with nose markings, colored ears, and eye circles.

btw he is a Dwarf Rex(we think, if I am wrong, feel free to correct me)

I need help. My poor dog has bladder stones. I cannot afford the surgury and I can't afford expensive food/medication, and I don't fully agree with a lot of chemicals. I am looking for a natural way to disolve her stones. They are small enough that they are passing, but there are many. She has been passing them pretty regularily and it's really upsetting for the whole family.

I have tried to get into the K9 Kidney Diet group, but I don't meet their requirements.

I have heard Cranbery juice works, and that cooking my own food works to prevent them.

But I am looking for a way to naturally disolve the stones. There has to be something out there. Herbal, homeopathic, ANYTHING! my puppy is suffering and needs your help!!

I just got a very nice gift from my mom in the mail for my three cats, a big stocking filled with 20+ Christmas theme toys. Seemed like a year's worth of fun for my kitties, but on further inspection about 2/3 of the toys are in my opinion completely unsafe for cats. Some are made with pipe cleaners with sharp ends, or are so poorly put together I worry about them eating googley eyes or other bits they could chew off and swallow. One had tinsel that came off when I opened the bag! I know how much it cost to have surgery done on cats how eat things that get stuck in their insides! So my mom's nice gift seems like a complete rip off for the money she spent (she left the price tag on, so I know it wasn't cheep either).

I have a 7 month old boxer puppy that is limping around. The night before he played with my families other two dogs and everything was fine. I woke up in the morning to him limping around and he will barely put his foot down sometimes. When i touch his knee he gets angry. So i know something happened with it i just don't know what. I have an appointment with a vet in two days but i am worried he may have pulled a ligament or something. Is there any way i can tell or anything i can do at home besides just let him rest. Also i have noticed no swelling put he could and i just can't tell.

I'm planning to either buy a Brittany or Golden Retriever. Does anyone know about when is the best age to buy a puppy? I want to buy it young so it will get use to being around children and small animals and easier to train. Thanks.

I have two 10 week old kittens, and when they playfight, their ears bend back really far.
Does this mean they don't like each other or is it just how they play?
One of them tries to bite the others neck all the time too and the other makes a really weird noise?!

I have two Netherland Dwarf rabbits, i've had them for about five or six months one is six months and a female and the other is a male and two years old. Is it okay to leave them in their cages outside in the winter? I live in Michigan and we get a lot of snow, but theyre in a barn. The barn isnt very insulated but my parents think they'll be okay. question number 2- the six month old female broke one of her claws off, its her left foot, and the claw farthest to the left, not the dew claw. Her foot bled a lot when it came off but it doesnt seem to hurt her as much anymore. What do I do to try to fix it? Should she see a vet or do I just let it grow back on its own, or will it even grow back? Please HELP!!!

Now that I'm seeing the cost for purebred dogs, and their medical problems, I'm thinking of adopting a puppy from a shelter.
I've been looking through a few shelters in my area, and I've seen a few healthy, active, mixed breed I like. Are there any downsides (other than not knowing what their parents were like and if they had shots, health problems, etc. and not knowing what they will be like when they are older) to adopting a shelter puppy?
