how much should i pay a house sitter if they're going to watch my house for a week? They will have to feed my cats, my dog, and my fish. They will need to walk the dog three times a day and clean the cat box once a day. What would you pay someone to do all of that?

note: they get to stay at our house and we'll pay for the meals (they're in college so this to them is a great deal)

for that .. I normally charge about 20 a day.

$15 for the dog
$10 for two cats
$0 for fish
_________
$25 for all
-$5 discount for more then one pet.
_________
$20 total per day.

7*20=$140 per week.

however ... when I stay at someone's house the cost is normally more (discount gone) as I have my own animals I need to love. BUT since you are providing meals the cost goes down.

140
+5*7 (discount gone because stay at your house)
____
175
-8*7 ($8 a day for food is what i spend anyway)
____
$119

so ... $119 a week.

sorry to show all the math, but I figured you might want to see how some of use who pet sit alot figure out prices.

(i normally charge $15 for dogs and $10 for cats, after the first dog the other dogs are $10 each, after the first cat the other cats (up to two more) are free and after those three cats each one is $5, fish are free, other little furries and scalies are between $5 and $10, depending on what it is).

We paid $25 a day for someone to come in twice a day to feed/water and clean the litter box for 5 cats plus give two of them insulin shots twice a day. She was a vet tech with our vet, so was trustworthy.

I'd say about $100.
