he's not neutered yet. he has sort of live in my neighbours house that has lots of other cat, as if he has a new family there, with him being the leader.

after 1 month of not coming back to home, i decided enough is enough, so i go and catch him and want to neuter him straight away, and keep him in.

do you think it's fair i do that? will he be affected or rebel now that he no longer living with his new comfortable place?

is it fair that i don't want to let him roam anymore.

he's 2 and a half years old.

will he be ok?

A type of fish that you can just put in a fish bowl, with water and feed.

I'm doing some research for a little project. Please don't give your opinions or sermons. I'm interested in the animal's health, not social results of spaying and neutering.

I need plain scientific studies and evidence from reputable sources that show 1. how spaying and neutering is beneficial to a dog's health and 2. how spaying and neutering is detrimental to a dog's health.

Please provide links or documentation so that I can check the scientific research myself and include it in my project.

If you have information applying to other animals, especially cats, I'd welcome that as well.

I have had a 10 gallon aquarium for 3 months. inside one betta and 2 small mollies. All was going good until last weekend. I had been doing regular 25% water changes each week but when it came time to change the filter last weekend i decided to clean out the aquarium and clean the rocks and artifical decorations inside. I siphoned half the water out and then filled up a large bucket, that i only use for these fish with aquarium water and placed the 3 fish inside. i scrubed the tank, cleaned the decorations, and then placed the water and fish in the bucket back in the tank. so this amounted to maybe a 75% water change. I used the water conditioner I always use. almost immediately my fish acted strange, swimming in strange patterns and laying on the bottom of the aquarium. I thought they were just stressed. Within 2 days noticable algae formed on the tank and rocks, far worse then ever was before, and tonight one of the Mollies died. What happend and what can I do?

I currently have a 20 gallon with 5 goldfish.
1 Black and Gold Oranda(Maurice)
1 Calico Shubunkin(Wrangler)
1 Black Comet(Leo)
1 Orange Comet- Long tail(Noena)
1 Orange Comet- Short tail(Sharky)
They are all about 2.5 to 3 inches long now.

My Comets will be pond fish and the fancy goldfish will stay in my tank for the spring, fall and winter, and spend summers in the pond.

I currently have no heater in their tank, and I was wondering what kind of pleco I could keep in the tank in the spring, fall and winter, but also keep him/her in my pond in the summer.

Please don't tell me about goldfish requirements, I am well aware and I have researched for about 3 months before I got my first goldfish. (comets)

Keen to understand why you don't like Cesar Millan's approach to Dog Behaviour. I'd appreciate your explanations.

Like mom and daughter, mom and son, dad and daughter, dad and son, grandmom and grandson....lol! I know thats funny but does anybody? i was just curious. I actually have a mom and son. I kept him from when she gave birth to her puppies 8 months ago. I neutered son so he's not a problem. Mom has just had second batch about 6 weeks ago. She isnt as mean to him as she is with my other dog when they are together. Its really cute, they look just alike except son is like a smaller version of her. Dont worry i never let big brother or my other dog anywhere near mom and puppies. lol Although yesterday i carried big brother to see his baby brothers and sisters. Mom trusted me and just laid there with them. She knew i wouldnt let anything hurt them. I just thought it was so cute.

I have a Brazilian Rainbow Boa, lately he hasn't been eating. I feed him about once a week.

I tried to feed him last week on Saturday but he wouldn't eat. I was thinking it was nothing because he was shedding.

Then this morning I found all of his shed skin. Then I tried to feed him again and he wouldn't eat.

Now he hasn't eaten in 12 days. I have had him since September 20, of this year, so almost 3 months. He has always had frozen food, except when we first fed him, but the other times he always eats. He has one fuzzy.

I know snakes can go without eating, but it just makes me nervous and on edge when he doesn't eat.

for some reason my savannah monitor stopped eating. He is a foot long so he isn't to old, i know his last feeding which was a week and a half ago was quite big.. He had a medium sized mouse, 2 nightcrawlers and i think some ground chicken (maybe the day before). Its not like him to stop eating he used to love eating. I've tried eveything roaches, crickets, pinkies, mice. He just wont have a go at it. I'm worried cause he is losing a bit of weight, he is still quite active but i want him to start eating... I moved him out ofthe room i kept him in but still it shouldn't be any different... Can i try appetite stimulatators.... help i ordered 50 hoppers just for him and have no idea what to do with them if he continues with his hunger strike. He is drinking well, and walking around alot. What did i do wrong... he is in a 45 gallon tub with repti-bark substrate, a large water bowl, hide, a food dish, heater (150w). Please help.

My 2 year old cat has an obsessive grooming problem. He also has intermittent twitching in his hind legs and shoulders sometimes. I think it may be related to stress but my vet wanted to rule out allergies first (he wants to avoid putting him on prozac). So he got a long acting depo shot about two weeks ago. It has curbed the grooming somewhat and he has some peach fuzz starting to grow in on his belly. It hasn’t really helped the twitching and he has a noticeable lump in between his shoulder blades where he received the shot. Is this how the shot works? Does it stay under the skin as it slowly releases, or is this something I should be concerned about? Normally we’d be at the vet already, but it’s so stressful for him to drag him there if it’s not really a problem. Any info?

I have 2 ball pythons. One is about 1 1/2 yrs old and soaks all the time. It only comes out of the bath to eat and then goes right back in. The other one is about 8 months old and it has only been in the water one time that I have seen. I even check on my snakes at night and the big one is ALWAYS soaking. Is this a sign that something may be wrong with my snake or
is this typically normal of ball pythons. I have onlyhad my snakes for about 5 months so I am still new at this and I am trying to give them the best care possible. **The big one has not shed at all since I've had it, is this a problem? Thanks in advance for your help. And to those who want to be smart and tell me to call a vet, save it.

i feel sick!! OMG!! It all started when I was doing research on PETA....and EEWWW!! I went to their website and saw a couple of videos.... dude...i feel sick.
Well, one of them were these clothing industries in China and they were skinning animals alive....
omg
i, myself, love animals a lot and hope that one day every single animal in the world will come to live in peace starting at least now
I can't bear to see all of them suffering
those people!!! do they not have feelings at all? i understand it may be their job and all, but can't they at least imagine how it would feel to suffer tragically like that?
I'm upset that there's nothing for me to do because no one will listen to a mere "child".
does anyone know what to do??
i want to stop this.

Do you think breeders should be regulated - not like USDA regulating - but think 'Puppy Mill' Laws like one proposed in Oklahoma? Think they need to prove they are offering quality products with high quality care? Think their should be spaying/neutering laws for all people that are not reputable/registered breeders or use their dogs for something that requires them to remain unaltered (i.e. show dogs)?

Think spaying and neutering is an owner's decision or right? Still think you are justified in buying a dog from a backyard breeder or puppy mill? Still think your dog wasn't a puppy mill dog?

http://www.news-journal.com/news/content/news/slideshows/animals/index.html

I'm just getting sick of everyone on Yahoo Answers being so ignorant as to not have their dog's spayed/neutered, not know that "a dog bleeding from its vagina" means it's in heat. I'm sick of people getting mad when they ask about breeding their two dogs and receive responsible answers. I am just sick of it.

I have a large vase and i have nothing to use it for. My niece suggested putting a betta in it. But i have not had any experience with betta fish before. Only goldfish and other tropical fish. The vase is pretty big, 45 cm tall with a 30 cm diameter. The vase is not a fish bowl it is a cylinder shape similar to this http://www.michaelcfina.com/images/products/full/GLLENOLADOG003.jpg but much bigger of course and without the spot things. Would it be suitable for a betta or is it cruel? Also should i put an air stone in it for more oxygen or does it not need one?
