My 5 month old puppy has chronic intestinal inflammation that led to anemia and other problems. He's been ok eating Hill's I/D kibble but on any other food has diarrhea again.
But a dog nutritonist told me feed him Abady adult dry kibble.

Is this safe to feed puppies adult food? I want a good food that wont cause him diarrhea. thanks.

If the puppy has special needs than an adult food will be fine. It just has a little less of the vitamins found in puppy food. But you could give him a supplement vitamin to balance it all out. Hill's ID is a good food. There is also Low-residue food made by Eukanuba. I work for a vet. I also have a puppy with an esophogus problem so we had to do lot's of research to get him nourished.

At 8-10 weeks we take ouir puppies off puppy food and put them on adult food. They are giant breed puppies and the puppy food makes them grow too fast.

Auctually it is. :] I feed my puppies(when ever I get a new one) a mix of adult and puppy food. After about one bag of puppy food is gone, they're eating adult food. They've never had any problems and my vet sees nothing wrong in it.

A good adult food can will work for pups. For YOUR pup a good adult food he can digest without irritation to his stomach/intestine is 100x better than a puppy food he can't digenst.
One question: is this a nutritionist that understands the problem and working with you & your vet (and therfore is giving valid advice)? I mean if it was a "nutritionist" at the abady booth at a pet expo take that advice with a gain of salt the size of a cattle block!
