What the vet may do is take a skin scraping sample. It's not as painful as it sounds. They might also look at the skin under a special light called a Woods lamp. Pets are usually treated for ringworm with a series of lyme sulfur dips. It stinks like rotten eggs, but it clears the ringworm up.

Take a trip to the vet, they can spot it pretty easily by a skin scrape or plucking some of the hair.
I feel for you, ring worm can spread between pets and humans before you realize it.
I hope you all clear up quickly!

The vet will have to culture some hair from both cats. Cats can often be carriers but not be affected themselves. Another common type of ringworm can also be acquired from the soil, and you can pick it up from gardening or otherswise working with soil.

The will often have bald patches of fur in a circle on their bodies. If they do have ring worm you will have to get an anti fungal shampoo from your vet to treat them with.

Take it to your local veterinarian and let them check your cat. Because I don't know a thing about a pet's health.

My cat constantly scratched, bathed himself, had bare spots, and gave it to me. We are almost free of it so yay! My kitty says hi by the way...by pressing the space bar :).
