My 3 year old Austraillian cattle dog chews everything, shoes, trash, paper products, underwear, socks, bras, pillows, you name it he chews it. HOWEVER...he DOES NOT chew any of the toys I buy him. I have tried every toy in Petsmart!! Any suggestions as to why he does this and any toy he might like to chew on instead???

My neighbors golden lab had a seizure the other day, and died while on the way to the vet. He asked the vet what caused him to die,and the vet said that it is not uncommon for dogs to eat frogs and die. I've never heard of this, and wonder if anyone one else ever has? If so, what an I do to protect my two dogs that live in the back yard?

Apart from the obvious - Close the door, does anyone know how i can train them to just stay away from the laundry. I would like to have the dogs and my cat all the house all at the same time but it is near impossible becasue the dogs go in where the cat food is and make a mess so I have to shut the laundry door which means our cat can't come inside and if he does he can't get to his things!!!

Any idea's??????.......................

I live in an apartment. there are 3 air vents for the levels in the apartment bulding. We live on the second level. We have squirrles that have gotten in our air vet for our level. They run around, thump and scratch. I was wondering if this was a serious problem. I was also wondering they must be going to the bathroom up there. can these things pose a problem? We have told our bulding manager about it but they havent done nothing about it. what should we do. the squirrles keep me up at night.

I have a 55 gal tank that i bought and now has a small leak. i am trying to avoid buying a new tank and replacing my hardwood floors which have been ruined by this stupid thing. so, my question would be: How do you reseal an aquarium with silicone? how long does it take to dry? and how do i be sure this won't happen again?

So I'm not sure if I should keep the lamp on all night. I haven't been for the last three months and not sure if I should. The turtle is in my room so the light will probably keep me up all night. Well just wondering if i should. Thanks for the help! :)

PS I have a red-eared slider turtle

We have a young bearded dragon that is 6 inches in length (body and tail). He was one of the bigger ones I've seen at the pet store and he is currently eating a ton. He ate about 30 3/8" crickets the other day and will eat over a dozen at a time. Is he over eating or is this normal? He's still a small guy I don't know where he puts it all. He could probably eat 50 crickets in a day - I'm sure he will soon. We also have waxworms but they are too big at the moment. Also, how fast will he grow? Thanks

Ok, so now that I've discovered it is a bit unhealthy, I need some help. My dog is staying at my grandmother's, and my grandmother has cats. She feeds her cats a cheap-O brand (whatever's on sale at the store) and this is due to a limited in-come, and my dog has to eat high-quality food(I feed Canidae) or else he breaks out into rashes of all sorts(Flea allergy dermatitis, yeast infections, and food allergies).. My dog, for some reason, will eat the cat food when he's got a bowl full of Canidae. My grandmother can't put the cat food bowl up high because she's taught the cats to stay off of counters, etc(it is just one of her pet peeves.) I really don't want my dog to start getting all these skin problems again, how can I stop it?

It's not the bottle because I have bought her a new one - same problem. It soaks the shavings inside, and therefore empties within just over half a day. How can I prevent the bottle from dripping? Thank you.

I don't know the first thing about rats. It's very friendly, I have some seeds for it to eat and fed it some cabbage. Can I put it in the bathtub and watch him swim? What should I do with him? What does he eat? How do I take care of him? It pissed on me today, any way I can prevent that from happening?

Recently my cat Phoebe has been gettting a lot heavier, and fatter around the belly. I know that she has been getting her winter coat and everything but she has really been getting a big bulge around her stomach. She has been spayed for almost 9 years now. She did have some thyroid problems last year, but she has been fine lately. Is there any possiblity she is pregnant? She is an indoor/outdoor cat so who knows what she could be getting into. Please give me your best answer. We are taking her to the vet soon. Thanks!

I have a beautiful female cockatiel. She's at the point where she's coming in heat now. As she had gotten older she developed an odd habbit. Most of the time, after eating a bite, she'll climb from the top of her cage, down to the door. She'll stand on the end of the cage door, and the little latch which latches the door shut (One of those latches that you just push down, and it goes through the bars) and she'll appear to chew on it, but when I sit and watch her; she'll just sit there; and not move. After she does that; I'll see a bit of clear liquid there; like a ball stuck to the latch. What is she doing? She's VERY active, and playful, and eat's very well-- she has a great appetite. What is she doing exactly? Is this normal for a bird that's coming to breeding age?

I have asked this question but, but I am still looking for a good solution. I need to find a digital camera that can take quick shots of kitties, without their eyes closed. The last two digital cameras that I tried Nikon Coolpix and a Canon, both had a shutter speed that was so slow that my cat escaped the picture while the flash was going off or his eyes were closed. I had a Sony Cybershot DSC-S50 before it was stolen and it was the only camera I have ever personally owned that would take good digital shots of cats.

I don't want to purchase another expensive camera and have to send it back because I can't figure out how to not have blurry, cat eyes-closed photographs. I take pictures of other things, sure... but if I can't take pictures of things sharply... as they happen, why not just go back to the old fashioned camera with film?

So, I would love to find a good camera, preferably under $200 - doesn't have to be big on the MP... I don't need a ton of features, just sharpness.

In Italy my relatives have been feeding their dogs for many years only pasta and leftovers, their dogs were always healthy and died at 14. Many friends in Italy as well treat their dogs of pasta and left overs, in fact in ancient times there was no packaged dog food and dogs were healthier than ever. Now dogs are delicate and often sick, can it be that dog food companies want to make us feel that dog food is essential?

Well, I Guess It Started About Two Months Ago. Princess (my cat) started to use the bathroom alot in tiny little bits like maybe the size of a quarter (poop) Gross I Know But... anyways, and so she would do it constantly and constantly lick her bottom. i recently noticed her rear end was really red and swollen... and im not sure what is wrong. Does anyone have any ideas or cures without going to the vet?
