I have this 4 month old kitten and i took him to the vet a while ago, and he was fine she said he had a kitten cold which i treated. It went away now its back and he also has a huge swollen bump under his chin kinda like an assist humans get in their gums... anyways its been bleeding and hes having a hard time breathing and between that and his flue he seems like hes gonna die, and i cant afford to take him to the vet again. please someone tell me what it is he has, and what some ideas are for treatging it if any of your cats have had it..

Stop the crap and excuses. You HAVE to take him to the vet again. This is not a problem for amateurs or "home remedies," especially if he seems as though he's going to die. Why are you waiting?!
If you could not afford to properly care for a pet, then why did you get one? If you cannot afford to give a pet proper care, then you have no right to have one! It is his RIGHT BY LAW to receive proper medical care and to deny it is abuse. Get a second job if you have to, but get up off your butt and stop wasting time on the computer. While you fritter away his life seconds, he is struggling to breathe and in pain. If you can afford a monthly cell phone bill, a new pair of shoes, or a pizza, then you can afford a vet visit. It's all a question of priorities. So stop whining and get him to the vet. Preferably tonight! There are Emergency Vets available at all hours and restricted breathing is a life-threatening condition. Four-month old kittens do NOT have large reserves and can't go very long. Get up off your butt and get going!

you need yo take him to the vet, call them and explain, sometimes they will take postdated checks, or will even make payment arrangements. If the cat is having problems breathing with a cold, sounds like what my cat has which is an upper respiratory infection. I have to give her 2 kinds of meds several times a day. Took her to the vet on Mon and now she is doing much better. Her breathing is easier for her, the vet told me if I had waited much longer she wouldnt have made it. I had just adopted her from the local shelter. Kittys lungs arent able to handle alot of stress for long.

You may not have the money to go see the vet. To save your kitten your going to have to take it to the vet. Before it gets to serious and your kitten dies, which would be too sad. This sounds bad espeacially when its bleeding and it doesn't sound like something you can treat on your own. The bump will probably have to be removed. I hope your kitten gets better.

You need help, professional help, and yahoo answers isn't good enough. You need to google around to see if you can find a cat rescue group in your area, and call around to see if you can find a vet who is willing to do some pro bono, or low cost work. I was destitute and homeless, and I had a cat. You have to be resourceful when you are poor. You need to hook up with people who rescue cats, are cat fanatics, and have a vet they go to for the animals they rescue, someone who provides them bulk care. Or you need to find a vet directly. Or you can call the local no-kill shelter and see if they have a vet on-staff or a vet who works with them. Or you can offer to clean cages for a vet and help out in his office for a few weekends (I have done this), or offer to pay on time, a thing most vets will do.
But you need help. You little kitten is in trouble. You have to think outside the box, be resourceful, be creative, and get the help you need.

Erika, I am sorry, you have got to take him to the vet. If you can't afford it you tell her so. You may have to give up the kitten but he has to have help. Having a hard time breathing is an emergency.

It sounds like an upper respiratory infection, with complications.... that (If you love your kitten) you'll take to your vet ASAP!!....unless you want him to die! This is not something that you want to "mess around" with, and try to treat on your own.......Good luck!
