Good luck. He's over 12 wks old. You also don't have his parents, to show what he came from. I wouldn't buy. I have no idea of knowing what you've put him thru already, and the stress of thinking he's found a home, and being moved again will be high. If you don't want him, you should call the breeder you bought him from and ask if they'll take him back. You won't get a full refund, as there is no way they can recoup the loss, because no one will pay full price for a 6 month old dog.
People are going to wonder, if he's so great, why don't you want him? Please, call your breeder, explain you made a mistake and apologize, they'll probably take him back. I would have. But I wouldn't have given a refund.
If the breeder won't take him back, look for someone elderly or in need of a companion and give him to them. Whatever you do, you aren't going to get all your money back.

Why get rid of him? I got my own first dog at 17. He was 14 when he died. He was there through all the good times and bad. Break-ups and make-ups. I always had him around to do something with like going to the beach or lake. In point, he was always happy no matter what my mood so he was a lift. There were also some very lean times when I didn't eat from a dumpster but he did. LOL. Don't get rid of him.

Why would you sell your dog and not keep him?! What did you get the dog for in the first place? This is a LIVING BEING and a lifetime committment!
Loyalty works both ways.

It depends...is it a purebred w/ or w/o papers, a mutt? I would definately advertise it for something. I would never advertise a free pet. At least asking a little something for it weeds out the ones who look for something for free and not realizing that even free things cost money and you will find the ones who are serious about committing to your dog since you can't be.

Adopt him out in exchange for the new owners donating $100 to the humane society. Or, make them buy a $100 gift certificate to their vet and give the puppy away for free.

well it all depends.. is this dog purebred? if so does it have papers, proof of vet records?. Or is the dog mixed? if so is it mixed with a non shed dog?.. Basically it all comes down to if your dog is "pet" quality or "show" quality.. what kind of dog is it? i can give you some price ranges of where to start

Don't give him away for free. PLEASE. People feed off "free dogs" they will sell them to medical testing facilities, dog fight "incentives" (to make the "fighter" dogs feel more dominant and aggressive) and so much more, make sure you do research on any person you hand your dog over to!
