I have a 7 year old female and a 10 year old male. The female has always been demanding of our attention and kind of bossy towards the male. Lately her behavior towards him has gotten out of hand. She literally blocks him from getting to whatever part of the house we are in, like she will plant herself on the top of the stairs and chase him away when he tries to come up to bed at night. I'm at my wits end over her constant bullying of him. Any suggestions or advice would be appreciated!

I have two green spotted puffers that are usually pretty calm but i notice that after i feed them, one of them seems to go up and down against the glass for quite some time. It's always the same one that does it usually after feedings.

The other and smaller of the two usually spends his time on the other side of the tank, somewhere in the middle or towards the top floating with it's head down and it's tail up so it's at an angle and usually it's head is against the glass but not always..

Also, I have seen both fish (not at the same time) at the bottom of the tank with their tails curled in so the fish sort of resembles the number 9. I'm not sure what this is an indication of..

Additional info: I cycled my tank with these fish, No2, No3 and ammonia levels are all stable now stable...

I have a 3-year old adopted dog who refuses to have a leash attached to him, even almost biting me in the process. Also, he refuses to walk off of the property. What do do?

Would they be addressed as Doctor (Dr.)? I would like to apply to some animal clinics before I start vet tech school next summer, and I want to be sure I get it right before I mail or hand them something with the wrong title.

A friend at work had a dog on at her door two nights ago, and the dog was well cared for, even waiting at the door with his paws up so she could wipe them off before he went into her house. Someone obviously didn't drop him off, because of how young and wonderfully house-broken he is. She put an ad up yesterday, and someone called and said if you don't find the owner, will you give him to me? and she told me today she's probably going to give the dog to this stranger.

Now it's only been a day and a half, so when does she have the right to give this dog a home? And if the original owner calls later in the week, what rights does he have?

Being a pet owner, I couldn't handle the thought of someone finding my pet and immediately giving it a home and not giving me enough time to find him.

I live in PA and she said that legally she can do whatever she wants with the dog after 24 hours.

I have a 7 month old American Bulldog. It is a short haired breed. She is used to going on long walks in the morning but it is getting cold and she is showing resistance. I feel that if I am all right then she should be and I have been making her go but it hasn't been below 30 degrees yet. On a normal day she is a little resistant anyway because she is actually quite lazy but once we get going she is fine.

So, how do I know if it is too cold for her or if she is just being lazy and wants to go back in the house where it is nice and warm?

I've been reading about the benefits of vinegar in dog's drinking water. I'd love to hear from someone else who does this. What are your reasons for doing it and how much would I use per gallon of water? Any risks associated with using it? If age/weight is relevant, I have a 40 lb adult beagle/retreiver mix and a 23 lb Australian Shepherd puppy.

Thanks so much for any info!

I noticed a while ago that one of my mollies was pregnant, but assumed that the babies would probably all get eaten. However I now have about 8 fry that are a little big now to get eaten. I only have a 10 gallon tank and it already has 4 full sized mollies in it, what can I do? Can they stay in the 10 gallon tank for a while longer? I can't afford a whole new tropical set-up! Also will the fry be OK while I'm on holiday? I was going to put one of those holiday bricks in the tank will that be OK for them?

Thanks!

Hi--A friend of mine had a kitten(about 6-8 weeks old) and the kitten had either gotten stepped on or dropped and it looked like it went into a seizure. Well- the next morning they took it to a vet clinic, and I guess the vet gave it a shot of this dexamethasone. The kitten was eating, drinkin and it's eyes were responsive to light. The vet gave him this shot, my friend took the kitten home and 1 hour later it died. What is this drug used for? It seems the vet just gave it this shot to put it out of it's misery? What do you think about this situation? Thanks so much--Deb
