I put a call in to diff. vet at he same office, waiting for a call back/ Any ideas on where to get beter inf?

Really, vomiting is the only side effect I have ever seen. I had wormed by puppy who had pretty severe SAS, a congenital heart defect, with Panacur and he did fine.
If the dog is "getting hyper" as in becoming active and running around, the heart rate would be up.....that happens when they run or become active.
I would think an actual "allergic reaction" to the drug would be causing a lot more symptoms.

Nausea/vomiting SHOULD be the only side effect - if you are getting others this could be an allergic reaction. If you vets do not respond, find another clininc - fast. Here is an article on some of the different worm medicines and reactions from a user with similar problems you might want to read and compare: http://www.vetinfo4dogs.com/dworms.html
Good Luck!

Until recently Panacur was only available through a vet. The vets have now changed to Pyrantel and Panacur is over the counter.
A lot of the rescues that I have had were given Panacur. I only had one dog react to it and he did not have heart problems. He had projectile diarrhea.
