Fish involved have been with me for over a year and are settled in healthy tank. The neon got very uncomfortable with its 'shadow' but took about a minute to shake it off. Neon is a bit of a plumper - therefore probably female. Both fish live happily with a group of there own species within the tank.

My german shepherd is about 7 months old & he has had diarrhea for a couple of days now. He seems fine he still plays & runs around like normal but his feces is a little runny & he isnt as hungry lately. Is it normal for a dog to get diarrhea from time to time?

Hey everyone I know this is kind of dumb but it's a problem I'm wrestling with. When you do your regular water change on a tank (cleaning gravel and swapping out 20% of the water in the process) do you take the fish out or leave them in. Either a personal habit or a reason why I should do one or the other would be great. I just don't have a large enough container to hold all of my fish during the water change anymore, so I was wondering if I need to split them up into separate jars or just leave them in there. What do you think?

I have a 12 week old, 2.5lb, female chihuahua. I have noticed on her snout she has a tiny little bald spot on the top and on the side of her snout there looks to be a lil patch of hair thinning and also on one side of the top of her head. It doesn't look like the skin is irritated. She doesn't scratch a lot. She seems to be eating well (She eats Eagle Pack holstice Select mixed with a little baby food). I just recently started her on that dog food. She was on just baby food and yogurt when she was sick a couple weeks ago with Coccidia.
I know I need to take her to the vet. She is scheduled for her second shots soon. So I figure I would have them look then. But does anyone know what it might be? Maybe change of diet? or something?

She is well taken care of.. She stays inside because she is small. She is fed 2-3 times a day. She is my little shadow. She follows me around, sleeps and plays with me all the time. She looks and acts very healthy otherwise. any idea what it could be?

A week and a half ago my dog needed emergency care and I took her to Vets office. The 1st dr said it was a degenerative disc and would try treatment if that didnt work she would need surgery which cost 5000. After the 1200 treatment didnt work they said if I came up with 3000 they would do the surgery and i could work out payment arrangement for the rest. a day later while i was trying to scrape up the 3000 they went ahead and did surgery w/o my consent and now wont return my dog unless i give them another 2000. I did pay them 3600 out of 2600 bill. they wont even let me visit her. do they have the right to keep her?

my roommate has a 1 year old female pitt bull and she is BAD. doesn't listen, doesn't come when you call her, doesn't stop when you say NO, is not social and goes to the bathroom in the house. the only positive thing i can say about her is that shes not mean. however shes a large dog and very strong.

my roommate works a lot, and the dog has been living with my roommates parents. shes been living with us for a week now and i hate to say it but i've lost patience. she is very bad and you have to watch her like a baby, so as a result she spends a lot of time in her crate. i dont want to crate her, but after a while i dont know how to handle her. shes too strong for and misbehaved for me to walk.

she has never been to obedience school, and they claim that they are taking her soon. i know that will help, but is this problem correctable?
is it typial of the breed or could this all have been nipped at the bud as a puppy if they had paid more attention to her/worked with her

Okay so I have a 3 year old female calico named Jasmine. She's never been sick before and yesterday I noticed she was being very lazy and wasn't keeping herself clean like she usually does. She has been laying around ever since and I noticed her eyes were runny too. I was recently sick and I was wondering if human colds could be carried to a pet too? She is still eating and drinking well and today she was up walking around so I doubt it's anything serious. But, I want to check because if she's not better by Monday, I will be taking her to the vets, THANKS to all who answer!
