I've had two cats with heart murmurs. I don't know what level they are, but one of them has had the murmur for many years and has lived a very happy life. The vet always checks to make sure it hasn't gotten worse, but I've never actually had to do much for the murmur. Just make sure you follow any instructions from your vet and let the vet know if there are any changes in his behavior. Many cats live very healthy and happy lives with heart murmurs...so don't panic yet! Wait to hear what your vet says. Good luck with your baby!

I am not familiar with the term "level three" however I do know that many people and animals can and do live full lives with heart murmurs. Some are more serious than others. I did once have a cat with a heart murmur myself. He lived a happy and full life. I hope the same will be true for your guy. Best thing here is to have the vet explain just what's what.

There's a lot of differnt types of murmurs, ask your vet what a level 3 indicates and if it affects the daily life, if anything special needs to be done.

Some cats lose their murmurs over time. Some have no problems living with them.
