she had a litter of puppies about seven weeks ago she looks awful now i feed her puppy food and everything i bought some of those supplements from pet smart but she want gain weight and now she is very food aggressive with her puppies she will let them nurse but will not shear food with them she growls and barks at them i dont want to take her puppies away but i have no choice i have to find them homes and i dont know what to do she is a pit bull and i get kinda scared when she barks and the puppies she doesnt do it to me though i was hoping someone could give me with some advise on this does it make her mean if i take the puppies from her please dont attack me i did what my heart led me to do by taking her in

whenever I lock my dog up in his kennel, he just won't stop whining, maybe it is because my cat bothers him. I am not sure. Any help would be great!

ok so here is the story my dog(german-shorthair) loves rawhides, and well i'm beginning to believe that they are giving her gas, and bad. I was just wondering since i don't want to not give her rawhides if i could just give her beano or something like that? My sister also has the same problem with her pitbull, and we don't know what the reason for that is except maybe his digestive tract, but something has to be done about it. Any suggestions?

Well its November and my turtle dosent eat much what else can i give him other than the turtle pellets? and is getting another turtle a good idea so hes not to lonely?

P.S. Yes, I know that there is a turtle/tortoise with a cracked shell. I feel VERY sorry for it.

I have an austrailian shephard puppy that stays outdoors at night to sleep. He has a large lot covered with 2 sides to keep a draft out, medium sized dog house with flap over front, and a heating pad covered in towels to help keep him warm. Today he some how managed to get doggie poo all over himself and he smells terrible. I was wondering if it is ok to give him a bath indoors, then keep him inside 5-6 hours to give him proper time to dry before taking him out to go to sleep. Somone recently told me i couldnt bath a dog in the winter though because it takes them four days to dry and he would get pnumonia? Somone tell me if i can bath him right now and a proper way to make sure he is fully dried.

One is 3 yrs old, and the other is almost 1yr old. They got along fine, in the beginning, with the older one being the boss, but now things seem to have changed!
The 3 year old, lately has become timid and almost afraid of the younger one, it is like she does not like the younger one now...

I think she is jealous but I am really worried because the older dog is not herself lately, and just wants to hide & sleep and she seems stressed.
I took her to the vet the other day and he said that I need to spend time with the older dog, alone and away from the younger one. Which is quite difficult when they both need and require my attention!
Any suggestions? Thanks!

He is very active and eats well. He is Main Coon X and only wieghs 6 Lbs. He is lang hair and skin and bones. My hubby dose not like petting him because he is to thin. He is such a loving and well behaived cat. His back legs are like a spring board. He can jump a 5 foot fince in a singel pounce. He is fixed and declawed on all four paws. You can not tell he has no claws. I hope I can faten him up. Oh ya fusy eater too.

My Jack Russell puppy aged 10 weeks old!! Was fine running around, playing and then out of the blue he just started fitting (then looked like he was chewing) and then started foaming at the mouth!! As this continued for a while he then pooed himself while he was fitting!! i rushed him to the vets and he was sedated and given blood tests!! but nothing showed up in his tests and the vets couldn't find a reason!! He died after being in the vets for 2 days!! He had never been out of the house before as i was waiting for him to have his second jab, which was due 2 days after this happened. So he couldn't of been poisoned. There isn't any poisons around the house.

If anyone else has experienced this, knows of any causes or can tell there story of something similar i would really appreciate your comments. He became apart of the family and is dearly missed!! Thank you, Charlotte x

Our family (living in Los Angeles) will be spending time in New York during Christmas. But I have 2 cats I'm worried about. So where should I put them? Is the Pasadena Humane Society a good idea? I went on their website, but nowhere does it say "temporary shelters" or something. Tip please?

I heard that dogs cant eat turkey. So we didnt give my dogs any. But my grandma hid the turkey in the pantry and one of my dogs found it and ate a whole bunch. Shes acting normal and doesnt seem sick but I was just wondering why dogs cant have turkey and what it does to them.

I have a 2 year old puggle. My boyfriend has a pomchi (pomeranian/chihuaua) that is about to turn 2. I started bringing my dog around slowly and they seemed to get along. Now that my dog is here all the time, my boyfriends dog constantly bullies him by biting his legs and jumping on him. This causes them to wrestle around and fight. My dog thinks he is playing so they aren't hurting each other, but it is annoying and Im afraid they could hurt each other because my dog is way bigger than my boyfriends pup. What is a good way to train my boyfriends dog to stop biting my dog because smacking him and yelling hasn't worked and I don't know what else to do?
