I have an austrailian shephard puppy that stays outdoors at night to sleep. He has a large lot covered with 2 sides to keep a draft out, medium sized dog house with flap over front, and a heating pad covered in towels to help keep him warm. Today he some how managed to get doggie poo all over himself and he smells terrible. I was wondering if it is ok to give him a bath indoors, then keep him inside 5-6 hours to give him proper time to dry before taking him out to go to sleep. Somone recently told me i couldnt bath a dog in the winter though because it takes them four days to dry and he would get pnumonia? Somone tell me if i can bath him right now and a proper way to make sure he is fully dried.

I would bathe him and then keep him inside overnight (or a couple hours anyway). It does not take a dog four days to dry. Overnight will be more than enough time; just run your fingers through his coat well to ensure that there is no dampness in the coat.

Brush the loose mess out of the dog's coat and wail till morning to bathe the dog. Keep it inside all day and be sure it is dry all the way to the skin before letting it back outside.

I hope you are not using a human's heating pad because those are incredibly dangerous for use with an animal. What you want is an electric whelping mat which is designed for doggies. Don't cover a whelping mat with anything like a towel. The dog needs to be directly on the mat.

Well take him inside first of all. Then put him in the tub. Warm water though. Then give him a normal bath. Leave him in the bath room to dry

You should definitely give your dog a bath...just because it's cold doesnt mean you cant give him a bath. Just make sure that hes dry before he goes back out.Keep him inside for one night...I'm sure he wouldnt mind spending one night in the house with you

You can bath him now but I would recommend keeping him inside for the night.
You need to towel dry him real well than if he will let you use a blow drier. this will help to dry him faster but I would still keep him inside over night just to be on the safe side.

Yes just bathe him correctly and let him dry....though i beleive dogs shouldnt be kept out doors, but thats my opinion not yours...lol....but make sure hes completly dry (maybe dry him with a hair drier!) and keep him inside for a few hours to make sure hes completly dry!

you're making the water luke heat. that is least confusing in case you run some water on your tub first, then positioned your domestic dog interior the bathtub. you need to use the two the bathe attachment or a tumbler to get her moist. Then particular, you rubdown some shampoo all the way via her - no longer too lots. that is least confusing in case you circulate away her head for final using fact maximum canines rather do in comparison to getting their head executed. before you commence, positioned a cotton ball in each ear so which you don't get water in her ears. that is significant using fact water interior the ears can probable bring about ear infections. while she's all shampooed, rinse her off rather, rather properly. Tilt her head back so which you do no longer run water or shampoo in her eyes. save rinsing till you're confident all the shampoo's out. Squeeze her out slightly - gently. Then towel dry her - canines often love this section. while you're traumatic approximately her getting chilly, you are able to blow dry her including your hair dryer, brushing her on the comparable time. Do her head and during her back first and he or she'll end shivering, in spite of in case you basically get her often dry. All canines shed, you will no longer be able to end it. in basic terms save brushing her on a daily basis, feed her a solid high quality nutrition. Hound mitts artwork rather properly on beagles - is that what you advise via "rubber brush"? If no longer, attempt one, they're rather solid.

Yes, you can bathe him, but he needs to be 100% dry before going back outside.
