My friend in another country has a lot of turtles and they love them,but do they show signs of pyramiding?

P.S. Yes, I know that there is a turtle/tortoise with a cracked shell. I feel VERY sorry for it.

I don't see any pyramiding at all, really. Pyramiding is when the individual scutes or sections of the shell start to thicken and grow "up" to form pyramid shapes.

I think they look o.k. As for the cracked shell, there are ways to repair it....urge your friend to have the poor thing taken care of. Here's more info on that, that you may want to forward if you email him:

One of the bigger ones look like they have the beginnings of it, but, it could just be the angle of the photo..

They are starting to pyramid.
