passed from moms to babies usually in bad breeding environments, there thankfully is vx's for that so transmitting the virus should be prevented most of the time esp from a reputable breeder ask for pups vaccinations records as well as moms from now on.

sorry for your lose.
From the stools. Make sure everything your puppy played with or slept on is cleaned well with bleach. Also the yard where is went. The virus stays around a very long time. and if you plan on getting anew pup want to make sure it's ok. Our Germand Shepard had parvo, but after 5 days on meds and IV's t the vets he survived. He is a healthy 11 months now. He was from a litter of 6 and the only one who survived.

My pug almost died from the parvovirus....she scared me half to death..The vet told us that it can be transmitted by their stool and vomit. They also said that even if you bleach where the puppy did the bathroom or vomitted, the virus will practically never go away. My uncles dog had parvo and I think thats where my dog had gotten it from because she is always at his house.

Through their stool, but once outside of the body it can live up to a year in the environment unless you bleach everything. The virus spreads out pretty quickly from the feces. It can be carried on the bottom of your shoes as you walk through your house/yard and end up who knows where.

Through their stool and urine, which gets on their feet, which leads to everywhere else!

Through their stool. You can identify it by it's chalky white color.
