Throw a towel over it, scoop it up (gently) and put it outside.

There's no need to kill it.

Why would you kill the poor thing? Just take a broomstik or a shovel and gently make it get on that and throw it out!

Just man up and pick it up with your hands and throw it outside. Sheesh.... It's not like it's a Cobra or anything. Or tell your dad to grow a pair and do it himself.

He's *not* venomous (I don't think any grasshappers are)-- when I was a kitten I used to play with them.
I agree with your other responders, that you should simply drop a towel over the little guy & put him (or her) outside.

DONT KILL IT! grasshoppers are alive too, just take a towel or a cup go catch it and let it go outside.

Can't help ya there....my boyfriend is in what he calls "the cricket re-location program", lol....anytime there's one in the house (we get these hugh mutan like ones) he picks it up and takes it outside....be brave and pick it up!
