I think He jumped off th bed yesterday and he is over weight. He can walk and move his paw but very gently. I wonder how long it takes to get healed.

My cats spraine their paws as well sometimes. It can heal overnight. The following day he was up and running again. It also might take a few days.

I would not take him to the vet, or put ice on it. I have a Siamese Himalayan, and when I first got him, he did the same thing, sprained his paw. I was so nervous, I took him to the vet, and like the other person said, it was the wrong move. They drugged him up so they could "look" at it, and he wasn't right for two days after that. No life in him at all, from the drugs. Just keep an eye on him, and let him go about life as normal. Cats seem to know what is best for their own health. Let the cat decide in this case.

Poor baby, I hope he gets better soon.

He may have had to turn it to sprain it and just jumping off the bed it makes it unlikely. It could just be sore on the surface from the impact of his weight and not actually sprained.

It will probably take 4-6 weeks to heal but, you should make sure he gets extra attenion. Make sure he stays inside and out of mischief. Also if you want to get a cast or somthing put on it you should take him to the vet.

Depends. How do you know it's sprained, have you had it xrayed, or examined by a vet at all?
