My house was just sprayed down with this product. It was in an aerosol can. I got it from a Vet's office, they said that it was safe once it dried. But now everything is dry and I'm left with a gross smell. Is it still toxic? Main ingredients:

Linalool
N-Octyl bicycloheptene dicarboximide
Nylar
Pyridine
Permethrin

We moved into this house about 4 years ago and adopted the two kitties who have lived here all their lives. Being that this is a rental house, with many prior tenants, the kitties have learned to fend for themselves. Since moving in and taking the cats as our own, one of them has become very people friendly while the other has remained very standoff-ish. We are looking at purchasing a house two doors down and are concerned about the kitties (being so close to their natural home) coming back to the old house all the time where there may be a new renter that doesn't like cats. I guess the question is: Are the cats more attached to the people they live with and love or are they more attached to the location that they grew up and love? I would hate for these kitties to return to this house when we're not here rather than stay at the new house where they're well fed and well cared for.

My fiance and I rescued a kitten who was abandoned in our apartment complex...he appears to be 90% Maine Coon. Great cat, but he loves to chew on us. He is really good about not clawing us, however he bites and chews. We've tried the Cat Fancy methods of yelling "ow!" and ignoring him, but nothing seems to work. Any advice?

Is driving me totally up the wall. He's 11 years old, and for the first 10 years of his life, he was a pretty independent animal. He still acts like he did when he was 3, and shows absolutely no signs of tiring out. But in the past few months, he's developed some strange habits that have me up from 3 to 5 am tending to his every whim. Every day at 2:30-3 am, he'll wake me up whining and barking to go outside. I let him out, and he walks to the end of the porch, sniffs around for a while, then returns to come back in. When I let him in the house, he insists on going downstairs (you need to wrap your arms around him and drag him into the rest of the house, which is separated by a swinging door), and I usually let him and go back to bed. Half an hour later, he's barking downstairs to go out again, where he repeats the sniffing air thing. When he comes in next, he consents to be let in the main house. This continues for the next two-three hours. What on earth is going on?

Our three and a half week old kitten can not use his legs, they are not paralysed as such but he doesn't use them, he drags them behind him. He has visited the vet and we have been told to "wait and see", but is there anything that I can do ie massage in a particular way? or anything to try and get him using his muscles? :) He is currently being fed formular because he doesnt feed properly from his mum and is pushed aside by his stronger brothers and sister. please help!

My dog is a Lab mix but his claws are brown and black.

Do they get their color from the breed or is it from pigment?

My cat is 8 years old now and had fleas earlier this year. She was entirely rid of fleas but now, she constantly scratches, lost half her weight and fur,and vomits after eating. She consumes a lot of food and water.

ok. about my chiuhua. i did carry him to the vet. because he was sick, vomitting, and wouldnt eat or drink. when i took him to the vet they gave him fluid because he was dehydrated. they said they would be able to determine if it was parvo if the vomitting continued, and if there was blood in his poo. they gave me some amoxi drops to give him for 7 days, twice daily. also too after they gave him the fluids he ate alot, like he normally would, then when it wore off he was back sick again. . they also gave me a wormer to give to him the next day. . he hasnt thrown up since, and that has been like 3 days ago. and there is no sign of blood in his poo. he is drinking some, not as much as he normally would. and he still will not eat. only time was last night he ate a lil bit of bologna. when he does eat, its a bite of too and thats it. b4 he got sick i noticed he would scratch alot. and he doesnt have fleas, ticks etc. he is still sick, and gettin weaker. he is goin back to the vet tomorrow.

Especially when she attacks your leg/arms/ponytail with her claws/teeth. She is all purrs when you step in the room and lets you hold/pet her, but sometimes she just snaps, and it is rather frightening. Especially when I imagine her doing this as an adult.

Also, we are in the process of introducing her to another slightly older kitten we got first. We seem to be at a standstill these past couple of days. The little kitten is an aggressive player, and I think the older one doesn't know quite what to make of it. They get into batting matches through the door. No claws out, just "playing footsie". We have not left them alone yet, only very supervised meeting sessions, which have just been with a cracked door. The kitten slipped out once and their body language was OK so we waited to see what happened. It was fine except the younger one seemed like it was jumping at the other one too much, and the older one didn't like that and let out a little hiss, separated them ASAP. Any suggestions?

My red doberman, Sapphire, is about 16 years old and I noticed recently she has moles and growths that are multiplying and getting larger. Does anyone know if this is cancer? My vet acted like we should be thankful that she is still with us and he was not concerned with the moles she had at that time but they have multiplied and gotten larger? Any thoughts or experiences? She is precious...

She will eat hay, carrots, apples, broccoli and carrots, but she hasn't touched the pellet/feed mix. I don't mind buying her fresh food all the time, but will she be missing key nutrients? How can I make sure she is healthy?

I live in a small apartment and have been taking care of two cats. However, it has been very hard with both of them here, so I am trying to find a good home for Charlotte. She is about 8 years old. I got her from a Foster parent. She got all her shots and is spayed. She still has her front claws because they say it is better for the cat that way. She has a slight head tilt from an ear infection before she was found. It is adorable and she doesn't notice it at all. She is very loving and sweet. Does anyone who lives near King of Prussia, PA know who would want her? or does anyone know where I could post an ad for her besides a newspaper? Please ask friends in this area and let me know of any other places to advertise that is free.
