Puppies like children have short attention spans, try 10-15 min. at most, at a time, several times a day, use treats, and speak with a praising voice. make sure not to confuse your commands, and keep them the same, you shouldn't have several words for commands, a very seasoned dog trainer I know, advised me not to use the dog's name with commands unless your outside I only use my dogs name with "come".

First, do you own a kennel/ crate? If not, you should do so.
Make sure you take your puppy out often. Watch for the signs of what seems to lead up to the peeing.
Reward for going out with a small piece hot dog. This is the highest reward you can give a dog. Tell them, "good out".
When you leave the house, make sure you let your dog out to go to the bathroom first, then place dog in kennel / Crate with the door closed!
The Kennel / or crate will become their safe place and will turn to it. They will also generally NOT urinate or other in their crate/ kennel.
On that note....also remember NOT to use the kennel / crate as a punishment. They will not respect the kennel. You can do time outs in it, with the door OPEN.
Also, only allow your puppy small access to your house. Give them only a hallway or kitchen area. Too much area is a stress. They are the master/ keeper of the house when you are not there, and it is their job to watch it. You give them too much space too soon and it will over whelm them.
The older they get, the more room you can give them.
When you come home, also make sure you take them out. As well as before you go to bed at night.
TAKE THEM TO PUPPY CLASS! You may not have the money or time, but it is well worth it. Both of our dogs have been to puppy classes!
Good Luck and keep us posted!

There are different techniques. Reward/ praise or punishment. Your a bit too vague in your question too. To train your puppy to sit, or train your dog loose leesh walking, are two different methods. Infact all training ques have different methods.. I suggest you get a trainer's book, or hook your dog up to an obidence class

Find a puppy kindergarten in your area. This should help. Your trainer can answer specific questions. I took my dog to basic obedience (she was too old for puppy kindergarten) and we both had a blast. I highly recommend taking classes.

First, make sure she is getting enough exercise. Next, join a group puppy training class. Check with local vets, shelters, and pet stores for recommendations.
