A female dog has to be in heat to "accept" a male dog (know what i mean) so being she is spayed you have nothing to worry about, nothing can happen between them. He'll pretty much be "dry" humping her

you do realize you can solve this problem by having the male neutered? not only will it solve your question but will be better for his health in the long run. most spayed females will not allow a male to mate with them. this can cause a fight if the male is persistent. but usually the male will not persistantly try to actually mate with a spayed female. male dogs usually will only try to mate with a female in heat. if your male is mounting the female it may be more of a dominance type of thing where he's trying to become the alpha dog in the household. again neutering can also help this, but good consistent training after the neuter puts you in charge and usually stops pecking order problems from the dogs in the household. start with a neuter.

Your b*tch will not allow the mating to happen. She will end up snapping at the other dog and may injure it.

To avoid any possible conflict it would be best to get the dog neutered.

Um....if you were "fixed" and your wife was not, would she get infected?
The answer, um..NO!
Having one fixed and the other not fixed has nothing to do with infections.

I am pretty sure they will both be fine... :) but you should get the other one fixed just to be sure!

They both will be fine....................Just a note though...

It would be much better if they were both fixed, and everyone will be happy, plus you'll be at ease.

she will refuse him.... and he may not even try since she isn't giving off the hormone scent..she will probably turn, snarl at him, maybe bite him if he doesn't back off.
