Rabbits cannot make their digestive system work in reverse, so they cannot vomit. So if they get a hairball, it has to pass through the digestive system. You can give cat hairball treatments or feed pineapple or pumpkin if they get a hairball. Regular brushing can help eliminate hairballs.

Feed a good quality pellet, Timothy based is best. I like Oxbow but there are many good brands. They should not have any coloured bit ir extra pieces. there should be more than 18% fibre and less than 16% protien. Timothy hay should be a staple of the diet, give unlimited amounts. Hay can also help with hairballs. You can also feed veggies but they should be introduced slowly.
www.rabbit.org has lots of info on feeding and general care.

with feeding, its advised that you feed them twice a day on a schedule always keep hay handy in good sized amounts.
and yes, they cannot vomit and pineapple or pineapple juice does work (its really acidic so ive found my rabbits dont like it, i just sort of feed them the juice if its needed) also there is something called rabbit LAX which is a laxative for situations such as hairball.

if they have alot of hair or are long haired (such as an angora or a fuzzy lop) its more likely theyll get a hairball. but brushing them can help
