I'm not sure letting him outside is a good idea.... we live in an apartment complex with lots of other cats and when I let him outside for the first time since my fiance and I found him (he was a stray), he attacked another cat. When he has built up energy, he ends up shooting back and forth across the apartment at high speed and trying to touch him when he is like this is dangerous because he might bite you or scratch you. When he's not crazed, he's a very nice cat and he has a great personality, but apparently he's not good around other cats and he did seem to go a little crazy when we let him out. Also, he was neutered when we found him, so don't tell me I need to neuter my cat...

I have two dogs and everyday I fight the fur-battle. I do what I can to manage the shedding but I have been known to spend inordinate amounts of time attempting to eradicate every pet hair I can find.

My husband says that pet hair is to be expected since we have pets.

I have been to people's homes where hair is insane and everywhere and also where you wouldn't know a dog/cat lived there. So what is your strategy?

I'd love to know the gender of my gang, and I know females are larger once fully grown, but they're all at slightly different stages of growth so I can't tell.

Is there any other way to see?

I'm not a reptile expert and the maximum time we have kept a snake(ringneck) was about a week.
We just caught a green snake(or rough green snake as we know it as). I looked up it's food and it said it needed crickets dusted with calcium and supplements. They can also eat caterpillars, grasshoppers and worms(wax, meal and earth)

My question is: would it be okay to not dust the crickets or does the snake really need it?
Extra information...it's in a 10 gallon(I heard it was an okay size) it is also about 1 1/2-2 feet long(so it's not a baby) and I have a saucer of water in there as well as a forked stick(needs water and loves climbing)

Thanks
EJ

Hello, I gave my dog (toy poodle) the bio spot flea treatment this morning. After almost 10 hours my dog is still really itchy and can't sit still. She is rolling around and is just really miserble. If she lays down it is just for a second before her body jerks (looks like the fleas bite her) and she gets up again. It looks like she has the need to move... I feel really bad for her, she is so restless and penting much more from moving around so much. Is she ok or are those side effects of the treatment? What could I do about it? Thank you all for your help.

I had received it from somebody who had it in a 10 gallon tank (which is horrible), with no uv lamp or anything. I'm worried 'cause he is only 4 inches long and and about 3+ width. The tortoise was purchased as an impulse buy in 2004-2005 area. The turtle has no parasites and is not pyramiding and is quite healthy (had a vet check him out) other then the stunted growth. Can i cure him and will he still grow? What can i feed him. He's in a 20g tank for now with a hiding area, a 100w baskinglight with uva and uvb rays. I feed him romaine, he only eats it i bought him the monster diet but he does not eat it. What can i feed him to make him grow faster? Will he always be small or can he catch up? I also would like to breed him when he's older will it be possible.

Mo (1 year old) has snapped at both myself and my husband in one days time. Mo's teeth scraped my skin and he actually drew blood when he got my Hubby. Hubby wants to kill him if he does it one more time. This is Mo's last chance. Hubby said he would not pass a dog that bites onto anyone else and would rather put him down. What can I do?

My Yorkie is on her 60th day. We are all ready to go, I have all my supplies, her whelping box is all ready, I have done all my homework and now were just waiting on her labor.
My question is, Do you let your bitch cut the cord or do you cut it? A lot of books I have read says the bitch will cut it but I'm so afraid if she cuts it to close.

About a month ago introduced my other 2 cats that my brother was watching for me. At first the cats were kind of standoffish as could be expected but started to get along after about a week, within the last week however my kitten has been getting beat up by the other 2 cats and has gotten quite the cut slightly above his right rear leg. We have treated it a few times clearing away the puss and then putting on polysporin. The cut almost entirely healed... but now my cat is having a real hard to breathing his stomach is contracting in and out and he can be heard breathing through his mouth and nose, he doesnt seem to have an apitite and very little energy.

I understand the best option is the bring him to the vet however I am broke and cannot afford the rates of the emergency clinic.
Im wondering if someone else has had this kind of experience before or knowledge of this and has any ideas on how I can help him. and is this related to the fighting?

Thanks In Advance

I was watching the 2005 dog show and they had a golden retriever on it that was really white.

I thought white in golden retrievers wasn't the standard for show?

I had a goldfish, and bought more fish to keep him company (one molly, two tetras, a plecostamos, and two frogs)... one by one, all of my fish died, even my goldfish... The goldfish got bright red spots (like blood) on him, and his fins were either eaten or disintegrated and he had high amounts of energy to being totally lethargic. I'm not sure if it was disease that killed all my fish, but I was stupid and left the last two fish in my tank for about four days... but I didn't know one of my frogs was still alive. The little guy is so full of energy and seems healthy.... but how do I keep him healthy but get rid of the disease/death in my tank?? Thanks!

Congo a GSD may be put to sleep on Tuesday. His crime: Protecting his family.

A landscaper came to the home and was told to wait, he didn't listen, when the families dogs including Congo started to bark at him he started beating the dog with a metal rake. The owner yelled at him to stop, which prompted him to grab her and throw her to ground. Congo then bit the landscaper resulting in injury to the landscaper.

Congo has since been declared viscious and may be ruled put down this Tuesday.

Should Congo be put down for protecting his family?
