Ever since my sister got a kitten my dog always hides behind me and whimpers and the kitten takes advantage of this by taking his toys away.

I have a ten year old rotwieller. He's in perfect health just old. He has no hip problems, no arthiritis problems, nothing just all the normall things that go with being an old man like his teeth are a bit run down, the puppy energy only shows it's self ever once in a while things like that. He has a grey beard and some grey hairs on the back of his neck around his collar. The grey hairs around his collar are not on his neck they are on his back. Understand? Not good with words. There are also stray grey hairs here and there on him too.
My question is will he ever turn all the way grey and how long will that take? Is it possible or will he be gone before that could ever happen? Just currious is all.

No, I don't mean like that you sickos, I mean is your pet cat considered sexy or handsome from the mindset of another cat? My cat Snowball who is a flame-point siamese had about 4 or 5 litters before I had her spayed so it lead me to reason that she may be a sexy cat amongst the feline world. She talks a lot owning to her Siamese heritage but its always this lusty, throaty purr, kind of like how Eartha Kitt talks but in meows instead. Are any of you other cat owners out there the master/mistress of a "hot" (as per other cats' ideals) cat of your own? What do you attribute it to?

We have a 6 month old female kitten, who is usually very friendly, and we just adopted a sweet 2 year old female cat from the Human Society. The new cat is fine with the kitten, but the kitten is hissing and not willing to get close to the new cat. The kitten has been around a older adult male cat since she was 2months at my boyfriends parents house and she loves him! What can I do to ease her into loving this new cat too, or at least be able to be around her without them tearing eachother apart!! HELP PLEASE!!!

a male or a female? Or doesn't that matter with a dog/cat relationship? Do you advise a kitten, or a bit older kitten/cat who might adapt better to joining our family and having 2 new doggy "sisters"? Any helpful techniques on how to blend a new kitten or young cat into a household with 2 dogs already in place would be great. Also, any idea how the dogs will react? Although I'm a big pet lover, I've never had this possible scenario before, so I truly appreciate any tips, help, suggestions, etc. Thanks in advance, everyone !!

My husband and I have a 4 or so month old male pittbull. We've had him since he was able to be taken from mama. Been having a hard time getting him to let us know he has to go potty. We've tried everything. He only lets us know SOMETIMES and he pees in his kennel and lays in it. Can someone help me figure out how to get him to go potty outside?

This winter I'm having a really hard time trying to pay for my horse. I get 40 dollars a month for allowance, and that still doesn't seem to be anough for hay, grain, wormer etc. My mom pays for one bag of grain- i the other- and the cost of trimming his feet. I'm just a kid that has to pay for about everything for my horse. I was saving my $110, then I had to spent it all on 4 small, crusty-edge round bales that lasts the horse about a week. I always ask my parents for horse stuff on Christmas, Birthday, etc. But a horse is alot of money for me. Maybe when I get older and get a job It'll be easier but for now, It's a struggle. what should I do? Any side-jobs that I can do? ( I live way out in the middle of nowhere though! ) Any suggestions.......??

Before I spend $300 at the emergency vet, which I don't have, can someone tell me if they have experienced this. My Boston Terrier got into a bag of soft creamy candy - like kisses but not chocolate - white and pink and green things. She probably ate a pound of them. Now she is drinking water and vomiting. She has vomited 8 times. I figure it's good to let her drink and vomit, it is getting it out of her system. Otherwise, in between vomiting, she seems ok. What do you think?

I'd appreciate it She is a super good kitten, really mello and purrs all the time. Thanks you for your answers!!

This is what she looks like. The picture makes her look a little more orange than she is:

Can mini horses be potty trained? I saw the rob and big show with the mini horse. Recently I was on vacation with my gf and saw in the paper in virginia mini horses were only $500, I would have thought a lot more. Can they be trained to go to the bathroom outside and not in the house?

When I adopted this dog the owner said it was a full bred something I dont remember, I was drunk. BUt he does not look like a full breed anything to me...He looks like a terrier of some sort. He is about 14 pounds and full grown.

I noticed today that my yellow lab's behind looks red and irritated. It's an area a couple inches across. She doesn't seem bothered by it. What could it be, and should I call the vet?

I got this idea from another question on here. This is a horse memorial. Any horses that you have owned or loved that are no longer with us, list them here and let's all take a minute and remember our partners who have passed on.

These are mine:
Cold Report- unraced 2 year old
Miss Maple- race horse and brood mare
Kitiro- race horse
Farnley Glamor- Show/riding school pony
First Love- first pony
Minion- my rescue horse who was tragically murdered by vandals who broke into the farm one night
Hundred Acre Wood- First race horse to win a medical malpractice suit.

I see many people on here asking about breeding their pets. Take a walk thru a shelter's "death row" one day. yep they all started out as cute adorable puppies. Next take a walk down the surgery aisle and look at all the poor guys that are so very sick, with a disease or illness that could have been prevented by a simple surgery.
Now go look in the classifieds to see how many people have reported a lost dog compared to those who found one.

Please save your dog's and many more lives by spending that money. It really is simple, your pet will live longer, and be a better pet for it. The need to have babies is a human's need not a dogs. They reproduce by instinct not desire.

The only dogs that should be bred, are purebreds and only if they can better the breed.

Want a puppy? go to a shelter and get one, that pup needs a home more than the next door neighbour needs money, that animals life depends on where you get your next dog!!

Ok I am stepping off my soap box now.

When my female dog goes into heat, how should I deal with it?
I obviously have to keep her away from males, but do you cover a female with a "doggy diaper" or is that not necessary?
