I have a pit bull, and I would like to get her certified as a Canine Good Citizen. Where do I go, and who do I talk to about the Canine Good Citizens Test?

I work at Petco, and our trainer is a Canine Good Citizen evaluator. We offer a CGC course.
You can contact the trainers at Petcos and Petsmarts in your area, or any dog trainers in general to see if they offer this course. Before you go with a trainer, find out about them and their training style, and don't go with a trainer you don't feel comfortable with.

This shows the ten things a dog must pass in order to get the certificate. http://www.akc.org/events/cgc/training_testing.cfm

Here is a link from the AKC about finding an evaluator near you. http://www.akc.org/events/cgc/training_testing.cfm?page=3

Call a local Kennel Club. Most of them have one at least once a year. Usually with a fun match or Responsible Dog Ownership Day.
Many dog Obedience schools offer a class specifically for the CGC.

Good for you. For info on the various parts of the test (I think there are 10 different items) they have everything on the AKC.org web site, including info for how to train. They also have contact information for evaluators in your area. I know our local obedience club does the testing at least twice a year, more often if a lot of people are asking for it, and they will often offer it in conjunction with obedience trials, we just had it last weekend at Responsible Dog Owner Day fun match.
