Can mini horses be potty trained? I saw the rob and big show with the mini horse. Recently I was on vacation with my gf and saw in the paper in virginia mini horses were only $500, I would have thought a lot more. Can they be trained to go to the bathroom outside and not in the house?

Miniature horses are just that, very small horses, do your research and make sure you would have enough time to get them out and have a place where they could be outside, they need exercise to be healthy. I don't think they can be readily housebroken though, their digestive system is not like ours and I don't know if they could hold back defecation long enough to nudge you and say "Dad, I gotta potty" like a dog.

If you want the miniature horse experience there is a dog called the Bernese Mountain Dog that is an excellent puller and could easily pull a dog cart.

From the link, I will say yes, though I have never done this or had a mini-horse.

Good Manners - Guide Horses are very clean and can be housebroken. Horses do not get fleas and only shed twice per year. Horses are not addicted to human affection and will stand quietly when on duty.

Believe me, you don't want to keep a minature horse in your house. They are outdoor animals and should be kept outside. Although it's possible to train them, they aren't at all like dogs or cats. They are just like regular horses and need to be taken care of as such.
