What do I do. I called Animal contol and there is nothing they can do since it is a stray. The kittens just started walking around the yard & the mother cat kicks my pugs but daily. She jumps on her back and hisses, very mean. I need to get rid of these cats but am afraid I will get bitten by the mama. What should I do? Oh yes, my daughter wants a kitten. Can it be tamed since they are strays?

Is 15 fish a good amount for a 40 gallon aquarium? It has decorations in it too, and the fish include clown fish, and other tropical fish. Is this okay?

Hi all, I've just bought a cat harness for my 6 month old Maine Coon and am looking forward to introducing her ot the garden this way (as she's never been out before). Has anyone else used this method? If so how did your cat react and what's the best way of doing this without getting torn to shreds? Thank u!

I have only had this betta, as well as 2 of his brothers for about 5 months. Casper and Rusty are doing fantastically well, I even got Casper to FINALLY accept pellet food and bloodworms (they were raised on Tropical Flakes only, so they have to eat Bettamin flakes because they won't eat anything else) Anyway, I had Dustin in a half gal. bowl and his water was a bit cool, so I put in a mini heater, I checked it and it was keeping the water around 75 degrees, the next day it was still 75 but Dustin's lower mandibal is swollen and it has a scab on it, it looks like he's been punched. He can still open it wide enough to breath, but he is having trouble eating, it takes him forever, so I think it hurts him. I have been changing his water daily and putting in Aquarium salt and ick treatment, I know it isn't ick, but the bottle say it's for all kinds of bacterial and fungal infections, it isn't working, So yesterday I bought Dustin and Casper a 1 gal bowl kit each, Rusty was already in one.

Okay, here are the details:

1. I adopted Lexie from a shelter a little over 2 years ago. She was the next dog to be put down, and I couldn't see that happening to her.

2. Due to her being in a shelter, she has severe separation issues, and cannot be left alone or she will destroy everything in sight. Therefore, while I am at work; she is in a crate. Her anxiety is so bad, that she will even chew on her feet out of nervousness. She has also chewed through a metal crate one time and I came home to a dog covered in blood.

3. Lexie was diagnosed with Advanced Heartworms about 2 months ago.

4. When given the shot to treat the Heartworms, the dog must remain completely calm, or the dead heartworms will be push into the lungs and the dog will die.

Lexie is obviously not a calm dog. Plus, we have 2 puppies in the house so that doesn't help the situation. She cannot play for long periods of time without coughing from the current worms in her lungs. So, would you put her down?

I have a platy, a mollie, 3 tetra, a plec and 3 guppies....what other fish can I have in my aquarium that are also community peaceful fish? I don't want territorial or aggressive fish. which other species can I have?

Help my 10yr old male cat developed diabeties. He gets two shots a day, but we can not get under control, we are working with his vet on a weekly basis. The problem is he has decided to stop using his litter box. He goes in front of door, just urine. We thought we had licked the problem by confining him at night, but this morning we found he had soiled the rug again. He has clean litter we change it every day. It has gotten to be such a problem, we may have to put him down which would break my heart.

I recently put up an accordian door to keep my one year old cat from escaping out the back door when i open it to come in or out of the house. clearly he is mad at me for doing it and scratches it constantly. is there any sort of spray that they don't like the smell of or anything that would keep him from scratching and even sometimes getting it open?

I am a dog lover, and at first, like much all dog lovers wanted to lock him up and throw away the key. But then yesterday after seeing him say he was sorry, I kind of changed my mind. I mean he apologized to everyone. Not to mention the fact that he found Jesus. So if Jesus can forgive him, why can't we. I mean throwing him in jail isn't going to unhang or undrown those dogs.

Also, giving the racial persecution that has been inflicted upon him, I only think that it is fair to cut him some slack. There is no way that he would be under this kind of scrutiny if he were white. If he were white, he would have been given a slap on the wrist and maybe would have been suspended for one game. Not to mention, if he were Mexican, he would be a national hero for extending the sport of cockfighting beyond chickens. So I say, the poor guy has been through enough. Let's forgive and forget.

named "Sofia Loren", Sofia is not adjusting well to the new kitten. She hisses and growls at him, why is she so mad? and how long do you think it will take them to become friends, i am scared she will hurt him but thankfully she is de clawed. thanks for your answers
p.s at first when we got the kitty on Friday 8-24 Sofia was pretty much howling with anger and running the opposite direction while growling loudly, now she is showing interest but only quietly growling and chasing him around and batting at him but then running away from him i hope this means she is not as upset anymore.
p.s my 6 yr old named the kitten "Sniffie Lee"

Where do you stand on dogs and cats in clothing?

And, I am not talking about putting a sweater on your short-haired little guy on a cold winter's day. I am talking dressing them up for looks/fun.

Hi, i have a female betta and male. and i want to know my question. u see my male betta stays near the top constantly and i feed him more than enough and still he's there. i think i'm over feeding him and i dont know what to do, cut back down on his food or what? He seems like he's getting bigger though around the middle.

With the female, i bought her Aug 22, for the male betta. but the next couple of days, of course the male betta went after her but she rejected. now she stays in the cave all the time and i dont see her eat anything, the male betta eats it up. and she lays down on the rocked floor doing nothing but hiding. and laying around. is she going to die? or just something else? should i put her in a small fish bowel for a while? i just dont know. help please.

i recently set up a 7 gallon tank for a few tropical fish however it didn't come with a light because of its size. ive been looking in pet stores for lights, but they are either too big or too small, so ive been using my desk lamp (halogen light), i was wondering if this is harming my fish or my plants..? =S and also..the tank is in my bedroom, if my lights are on in my bedroom for 12hours will that count to the fishtank...or does light only affect the tank when it is directly overhead the tank? the light in my bedroom is white by the way

My kitties are 3 months old and since they often get dirty,especially after pooping :)Since they are always at home and of course,have free access to the sofas and the bed,we want to be sure that they are as clean as possible.But now i am getting a doubt,would bathing hurt them?Are there any alternatives perhaps?Thanx for any help!

I have 4 odessa barbs (2 female) a platy and cherry barb. One of the odessa barbs just chases all the other fish about even his own type! He has already murdered a platy, how do i stop this bully? (i'm not killing him though)
