My molly did this to my gourami when it was ill so i seperated the molly by putting it in a breeding net for a couple of days, it worked and the gourami started to come out again, unfortunatley it died the next day. It helps to put it in the same aquarium as the gourami could see the molly and it knew it could swim around it. With your barb chasing the same kind, this could be due to male aggresion over other females, it is usually reccomended to keep 2 females to 1 male.

At this point he's obviously causing a lot of stress so you need to act. The first thing you can try is to seperate the offender into a seperate container, rearrange the tank a bit, and put him back in. They'll often go back to there usual selves, but sometimes it straightens them out. The second, if you have room, is to add more odessa barbs - this will often help keep the aggression within its own species and spread it about more fish. The last and only truly reliable option is to simply remove him - perhaps a fish store will take him back.

No I would never ask you to kill your fish!
If you can stand it go to the pet store you purchased it at and return the fish. As long as your fish is healthy the store should have no problem. Purchase another barb or get a guppy which are very peaceful fish and they get along with all of your other fish. If you can't stand exchanging your fishie get more plants and ornaments so the other fish can gide when your barb is chasing
Hope I could help!

Get a tank that is large enough to provide a territory for the Barb and for the rest of the fish too. Don't blame a fish for the inadequacies of the tank they live in.
Your Barb is just doing what Barbs do,that is ,protecting his home,if there's a bully it's the person that put the fish in a too small tank.

If it were me I would put the platy and cherry barbs in another tank and replace with a couple of biggish spanner barbs or zebra babs..that should calm things down.

the reason one is choosing on the others is by the fact they're all men. you're able to desire to have 2 women human beings for each male. do away with the bully fish and place him in a quarantine tank. If one is gasping for air on the perfect with bulging eyes, that could could desire to do with some variety of affliction or water chemistry situation, not purely the bully rainbow. examine your water parameters besides.

Separate the fish... You need to discipline the fish. However, some breeds are just nasty bullies. For example, Cychlids and Flower Horns. You can also place rocks that give the fishes a place to hide when they are chased.
