My kitties are 3 months old and since they often get dirty, especially after pooping :)Since they are always at home and of course, have free access to the sofas and the bed,we want to be sure that they are as clean as possible. But now i am getting a doubt, would bathing hurt them? Are there any alternatives perhaps?Thanx for any help!

my neighbours bath there cat every week it lives inside so they want it to be clean. because they started bathing it at a young age its use to it and doesn't fight or scratch them at bath time. this cat is the most friendly softest cat you could meet. and the baths haven't done it any harm what so ever

Cats are very sensitive and you can kill them easily with a shampoo made for humans or dogs or even adult cats. Call your vet and ask what to bath them in.
Also those kitties are very young and any bath with an added chill can cause great harm, maybe even death.
Even though it's warm out take every precaution necessary.
Start by phoning your veterinarian. Good Luck.

if they are long haired carefully clip their hair so nothing sticks to them. There are cat bath wipes at walmart and most pet stores that work great and can be used as needed. I wouldn't accually bathe a cat more than once a week

i wouldnt put them in the bath tub. i would just get a damp cloth or sponge to rub them with and then after you cold brush them. most cats dont like water so this could be differcult. oh yeah and make sure they are in a blanket intill they dry because they could catch a cold. when they grow up you wont need to do this because they will learn how to clean themselfs.

cats and kittens don't normally need baths and usually provide their own. to encourage this you might get a wet bathcloth and just wipe them like it was a tongue. also, instead of bathing them, just wipe them with a damp cloth in the area you need clean. you don't need to give them an actual bath.
