being that you live in england i assume it get cold in the winter so your pleco wont be able to survive outdoors. They are tropical fish that need the warmer climates. Someone said 70F thats really on the low end not to say if in a tank that is a constant 70 the fish can survive but fluctuating temps from 70-85 back to 68 or below will kill the fish. Basically if you have a pleco in a indoor aqaurium you should maintain the temp 72F - 80F. so to answer your question...no the pleco most likely will not survive the outdoor pond. If you lived in souther california or other warmer climate area than it may be ok.

The applicable number in this case is 70 degrees F. Your Pleco will thrive out of doors as long as the water temprature is above 70.

It's best if you get a larger tank. Pleco's are warm water fish and I think if you put him in your pond I think he wouldn't survive if the temp drops to much.

You most definitly could if you were in a warmer part, butsorry to tell you, I don't think the thing would survive. I live in the US in such a warm area that most of the fish in my pond are tropical. I have goldfish, a tetra, corys and channel catfish all together

they frequently do not stay to tell the tale out doorways, the temperature is in basic terms too chilly even earlier it freezes, and the temperature isn't frequently good sufficient for tropical fish. attempt to get the fish save to take him.
