We recently bought 2 guinea pigs from a pet shop.We were told they were 6 weeks old and that they couldnt tell the sex.We had a look on the internet and sexed them ourselves,ones a girl and ones a boy.I definitley dont want to breed,I want them to have company though.So we have bought an extra hutch,they do still get time together but supervised(lol) and then when its the right time I think we will have the male neutered and then put them back together,is this the right thing to do and when.?

my fish tank has been treated for velvet with tetracycline, but my only two fish have died. now my aquarium is yellow from the medicine and have yellow deposits all over. i have live plants, fake plants, one house decoration and gravel. i want to know how can i sterilize the tank so that my next fish will not get anything. (i initially got velvet when i purchased fish from a local retail pet store grrr)

keep in mind i would like something that will not take much time, but will also do the job well.

My dog gets jelous of my 8 year old. He gets jelous of my tv watching and many things. I brought the baby home, and he stood back and wathced us all for one day. And since the second day home he realized the baby is a 'people' and he will lay with him on the bed like he does with us. He will lick him like he does to us. BUT he never gets jelous of the baby, like he does with older kids (he is great with kids, but want me all to himself)... but he is ok with sharing me with the baby. Why???

do you think having a outside dog is crul because my neibor just moved into a appartment and they did not alow dogs so we took the dog and he was aleady a outside dog and i think that it is kindof crul but we would have to potty train him and he slobbers alot my mom does not want to clean up slobber so what do you think

they are silvery grey with a black fin underneath and a pale orange tail. Their most distinguishing feature are spots either side of their middle which from time to time change to uneven stripes?????????????

i think it might be that hes sheding his baby fur colors but i dunno and he used too be grayish white now hes turnin a lil crispy brown do you think it might have too do with the heat oh and i dont have room for another question but yesterday i left the door open and he went out a little bit and sniffed around for the 1st time soo i am kind of sad for him cuz hes growing up soo fast should i walk with him on a leash while hes out thier soo he doesnt run off cuz hes affraid of people

I bought a 3-pack of Frontline Plus for my cat. The first dose I gave her when she was laying down, and I unfortunately dosed her in a spot where she licked it off. I then re-dosed her, saw a little relief. Two weeks later, she was miserable again. Re-dosed again. Seems better, but not great. It's now been about a month since last dose, and I can re-dose her again, but I don't want to spend the money on something that doesn't seem to be working. Any other suggestions???

She tried to bite my 8 month old son. I know that when a dog bites a child they should be put down, but does just trying to bite deserve the same thing? Here's what happened, when my son crawls too close to my dog she'll growl at him and show her teeth. This has been going on for about a week so we've been trying to find her a new home. Today I was sitting on the floor petting her and my son crawled up. I moved her out of the way (which is the only reason she didn't get him) and she still tried to bite him. I don't know if I should just keep on trying to rehome her or get her put down. The last thing I want is her biting my son or some other person/child.

I got a kitten on Friday from an advert in the local newspaper, who the guy said is about 10 weeks old. This kitten is from a farm and is not used to contact. Not sure when he was separated from his mother? My problem is that he's not litter trained. I have been very patient since Friday and have restricted him to the hall and bathroom only for when we are not in and at night. He is doing well and so far not too many accidents. However last night he managed to open my bedroom door and came onto the bed. I let him stay since he had been so good in his litter tray the whole day, but the early hours I woke to him scraping and he had pee'd all over the bed! How long can I expect him to take to litter train properly? I just don't trust him not to pee on my rug or bed, and the meowing at night is heartbreaking. Also, he has had diarrhoea since he came which I am hoping is just the stress of moving and change of diet. What should a kitten be eating? I feed him dry kitten food & kitten milk.

Yesterday I noticed that one of my gourami's was having bulges on the sides of her body. I didn't know what it was at first then I asked on Yahoo answers and found out that maybe it could be that she is pregnant. Up until now, I thought that both of the gouramis I have were male, but now I know one of them is female due to the comparison in color to the male which she is lacking.

Now I'm thinking that she is pregnant for sure. She is housed with a male gourami, 2 neon tetras, and 3 corydoras all in a 10 gallon. How can I make this process easy for myself and the fish?? Will I be needing another tank for the female and the male? Please help me!

They get to 18 inches. I'm a fairly experienced fish keeper so I know how to keep a bass. I have done research and located a fish farm in my area that I could buy a 1 inch large mouth bass. Also, could I maybe put 2 largemouths in a 75 gallon? Could I put 1 largemouth bass and 1 channel catfish in a 75 gallon. Channel catfish get to around 20 inches. I have also found a fish farm to supply a channel cat. Please don't give me that "one inch of fish to one gallon of water" bologna. Thanks for all answers!

I personally own 3 adults and am selling puppies, and I adore all of them. If I could keep the pups I would. They are a beautiful breed and its unfortunate that they have such a bad rep. I was raised around them and have 3 daughters who are being raised around them and love to play and ride our dogs. I just think its sad the way people have to fear them because of all the a$$holes out there that mistreat, misuse, abuse, and fight them. Anyways, I am kinda fed up with all the bad news that you hear about them and just wanted some other positive opinions that may still be out there!

I have had my cat for 10 years now. Over the course of the last year, she has decided that it is good idea to poo NOT INSIDE the little box, but just right OUTSIDE of it. Frankly, its starting to piss me off now LOL. The box is clean and scooped so thats not it, and she has never urinated outside of the box. I dont get it, but everyday, there is a new "load" for me to pick up outside the box. I would try to scold her, but i never seem to "catch her in the act".
Any pointers?
