Get good grades! especially in science and math.

Very few of them actually offer BA's in Marine Science. BA stands for Bachelor of Arts. What you need is a BS, a Bachelor of Science. THEN you need a graduate degree (Master's or Doctorate) for most good science-field jobs. A BS will usually only get a bottom-rung research job or a teaching job in a high school somewhere.

You'll very likely be required to do some work outside of the university at a Marine Institute for both the undergraduate and graduate degrees.
