If you really consider getting a husky pup, please do not get one because you saw the move Eight Below or Snow Dogs and just think they are cute. Do your research. They are very high maintenance dogs. They have a lot of energy and need to go for long walks/runs every day. They love to run. Note that huskies shed A LOT. They will blow their coat twice a year and grooming alone is a big job.

Huskies get bored very easily and a bored husky = a very destructive husky. Huskies are escape artists. You will need to make sure that you have a secure area to keep them in and a crate for inside is a must.

Never ever leave a husky off leash in an unfenced yard. They will run and most likely not come back.

They love to talk, but are not big barkers. They will howl and talk back when you are telling them to do something.

They are great dogs, but are not meant for everyone. The shelters are overloaded with Huskies because of all the people that think that they are sooooo cute but don't do their research. Please make sure you do research to ensure your pup does not end up in a shelter after puppyhood is over.

Huskies are like potato chips - you can't have just one . . .

They are both good looking dogs and smart. All depends on you really.

Boxers tend to have more energy than a husky, but they also have short hair. Husky has long hair and lots of it. So if you don't want to deal with taking care of a heavy shedding dog than a husky might not be the best choice.

It's a question of experience. A husky shouldn't be your first dog. If you like the boxer pup, go for it. We've had a husky and boy they are energetic running dogs. And when a husky feels lonely he can cry like a wolf, think about the neighbors. But if you like running every day for at least half an hour at full speed go for the husky. They are nice at cold winter nights, just put your feed into their fur, what a wonderful sensation;-)

Well weigh the pros and cons. Huskies do have long hair, but are very loyal dogs once trained. They are also pretty good with kids too. Boxers, have short hair, but are very hyperactive throughout their whole lives, and alot of times are not good with smaller kids, some pet stores actually post notes on the windows of boxer pups that warn parents with younger children. I find that a husky will stay with it's master and not neccisarily need to be chained or fenced up, but like to eat chickens and what not. Boxers have to be watched almost all the time when outside because they cannot be trusted. They usually need to be fenced in, and even then they try to get out. If you get a husky, think about the climate you live in because they can't be somewhere that's too hot and you can make them sick if you shave their fir to close to the skin. I would recommend spending time with each type of dog to see what you are ready to take on. If you take a boxer be ready, because they are very needy and tear things up all the time. If you have any nice furniture or anything you want to save get it a cage. Just depends on you living situation. Good luck!

Huskies need at least 2 long walks a day and are very high energy. Boxers still need to go on walks, but don't need as much exercise as huskies. Boxers are one of the most highly recommended family friendly dogs just behind Labradors.

You should research both breeds, and make a determination of which best fits your lifestyle. Both are very active dogs which are going to require a lot of attention, and both are very intelligent dogs, which could lead to destructive behaviors if they get bored. I think both breeds are absolutely adorable! I have had a husky, and I can attest that it is a lot of work to keep them busy and away from destructive behaviors. Also, I know from my personal experience that huskies can be difficult to housebreak, and I have had others tell me they had difficulties with this as well, but I have heard that boxers are easier to housebreak, so you might also take into consideration where your dog will be spending most of it's time (indoors or outdoors?). Best of luck, I'm sure you would love either.

Boxer. Huskies are great, but they shed that undercoat and it's worse than regular shedding (with shorthairs). Boxers are usually all around good dogs. My step dad has one and he is very smart. The key with any dog is obedience. Sorry if I'm preaching to the choir. Bottom line, to shed or not to shed, that is the question. Someone else might be able to give you the personality traits of the husky.

The husky will shed much more, it is more of a cold weather animal obviously. They do tend ot be very loyal to older family members, but can be aggressive towards strangers. A boxer is a good family dog. When I was an infant, my mom would take us out into the yard and our boxer female was always there. If we started to crawl off the grassy area of the yard, the dog would get in front of us and try to push us back towrds my mom. If we kept trying to go past, she would pick us up by the diaper and "carry" us back to mom. She would not let anyone near us until mom said it was ok.
Hope this helps.

Awe, we used to have two huskies when I was younger, so I have to go with the husky. They're such good dogs and so beautiful! Also, if you don't like loud dogs, they're perfect because they hardly ever bark. They do shed A LOT during the summer, though.

I don't have any experience with boxers, so I can't comment on them.

i might extremely agree that they're an excellent determination. basically a touch of suggestion. Get it from a great breeder. My journey is the twin registered are the suited. UKC/AKC. the main hassle-unfastened strains that are twin registered are Ruffian and Gaff. bypass online and only positioned one in all those 2 interior the quest window and you gets some hits. those canines are registered as American Staffordshire Terriers interior the AKC and American Pitbull Terrier interior the UKC. to boot, get it obedience experienced from a great coach. Be continually alert, whilst they could love your loved ones they could unlike different canines, or perhaps then now and returned it extremely is only particular canines. in case you spot any warning signs of human aggression handle it immediatly. Human aggression in Pitbulls isn't time-honored. the occasional barking at a stranger isn't undesirable yet any outward aggression alongside with lunging etc isn't tolerable and the suited element for that type of temperment is euthanasia. Be arranged to look after your canines. you will bypass into public and have people examine out you like your strolling a lion next on your babies. I additionally like Bull Mastiffs and American Bulldogs. they are time-honored for their loyalty and family individuals orientated habit. sturdy success and only yet another notice, anticipate to pay a exceptionally penny for a nicely bred canines.
