I'm breeding my bettas and everything is going well except the female eats the eggs from the bottom after they spawn and the male doesn't seem to even notice them. Please help! He doesn't even swim down to the bottom of the tank.

I am getting tetras today, and I am wondering, is it okay to have more than one type of tetra in the same tank (ex. neon and head-n-tail light)?

Let's say you got one female dog and one male dog as puppies and you just love their temperament, skills, personality. Would it be inhumane to breed them just so you can have more generations of your two sweet dogs?(You know every consequences and risks of breeding, how much it'll cost and how many puppies will come) Or just spay/neuter them and get another dog? and just enjoy what you got?

Please no bashing no harassing. If you say yes to breeding what's the safe way?

I am NOT planning on breeding anything I just love getting information on general topics like this one.

I recently got a kitten (2 1/2 weeks ago) and she's still hiding under things. She lets me pet her and hold her and she'll come out to play when I'm sitting down, but the minute I stand up or walk around she bolts for cover. But as soon as I cut the lights off and get in the bed she's jumping up on the bed attacking my feet and snuggling.

I kept her in my room most of the time, but now that I've opened the door to introduce her to the rest of the house, she won't leave. She just stays under my computer desk or bed hiding. When I take her out of the room she gets terrified and bolts to go hide under something or runs back into my room as soon as I put her down.

What can I do to make her stop being so hidey and scared of everything? It's really starting to annoy me...

Well, this one is for Doberman experts. We just got a new 4 year old male into our rescue. His front shoulder and elbow joints seem a little more wideset than the other males. Like almost a little bowed when he stands. It isn't major and in fact I didn't even notice until a few days after he came in and he doesn't seem bothered at all. Is this normal or is it something that can cause him problems? I just don't want to adopt him out without first making sure that he will be okay.
The vet didn't seem too concerned, but I just wanted to check with you Dobie people.
I can get you a picture if you'd like me to email it to you. I'm not talented enough to put them online!!

It is the end of the summer and not cold, I know he gets scared easily and hides his face under my neck if I pick him up. But everytime I try to get him to go for a walk outside he shakes ALOT and it scares me--Is it possible for him to have heart failure or should I just keep trying to get him outside? I want him to have exercise as we live in a one bedroom appartment (to him it's big) But it is not enough to ware him out for the night. Has anyone experienced similar problems?
Any advice would be great!

** He is 9 weeks old

I have my female platy in the breeding tank and her previous babies in the bottom of the breeding fish hatchery ( not the platys she is going to have now) , i put her in the breeding tank sunday evening, i am concerned for the space of the baby platys, there are 7 of them and are not crowded but will they be okay?
The pregnant female has a large gravid spot, and i can see the eyes of the fry exceptionally clearly, she looks as though she is going to pop, she still is eating well and seems reasonably active, she as been under very little stress but a bit more on sunday evening. Now she is relaxed and being fed well, and the fry eyes are very clear , surley she cant be long ?
How long do you think ?
Shall i put her back in the main tank?
What is the minimum and maximum length of time it will take now ?

p.s _ please answer every question for me - many thanks danny.

I know all animals need down time to rest etc (probably escpecially at night, as these are not nocturnal type fish).. and the bubbler seems to be fairly loud from even across the room. Isn't sound amplified for them underwater as it is? I'm not an expert at all, so any advice is welcomed.

Okay she already has an appointment to go in but just trying to see if anyone has any ideas.

She is a 16 month old beagle who is up to date on all shots and vaccines, and has been altered.

She has lost her appetite, to the point where she barely eats (she has always eaten very little but it is different now). She also has ocassional vomitting. She will throw up what ever she has eaten, but it is not every time or everyday. She has vomited about 4 times in five days, only once twice in one day. She has been licking at the floor and drinking alot too. I am not sure why she is licking the floor, it is kept clean and she never did it before.

She is still just as energetic and her personality is not at all affected by it. There is no diarreah either.

If you have any ideas please let me know. Again I am not looking for a diagnosis just some thoughts before her appointment.

I live in Los Angeles county and was wondering if there was any place that offers neutering/spaying services for free. And if not what is the price range to spay/neuter my dogs.

I've tried saying "no", squirting her with water, taking her off the furniture and rewarding her only when not on it...none of it has worked! She's basically immune to water and has no issue getting squirted! She's starting to cause real damage on my bedspread and couches, at least "Soft Paws" has helped with clawing (I don't want to declaw her)...Someone please help!

I haven't cut them before, but his back nails are really long. Also, isn't there something to put on the nail in case you trim to low and it bleeds?

My cats diet, has been a very small dish of milk in the morning, with 3 of those soft treats, some soft food for lunch and a feeding tower of dry food any time he wants it. he has two clean litter boxs, and he knows ware both of them are.

Seems he will poop in his box, and yet he will poop on the carpet in various rooms too. We tried adjusting what food stuffs he eats, but he still does it. Are cats the type that would do that, like a way to get back at us, for some thing we won't do, that he wants us to? Is that maybe a sign of some thing serious? Would some of the tainted pet food cause that if he was eating some, and we didn't know it??

i see too many answers from people saying to feed small/baby snakes crickets and/or fish... .. in reguards to http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AoHmKVPOiBrrOyDw0R1Tj7rM7BR.?qid=20070820171256AADSGxw
there are some answers like..
it wont eat a roach wen it is a baby and it will never eat lunch meat. u need crickets.
or ... Large insects such as crickets, grasshoppers, beetles, and roaches are all food items that most snakes will eat..

i even saw an answer the other day saying that they fed their ball python fish when it was young....

correct me if i'm wrong.. but boas, pythons, and colubrids eat rodents....

I just bought a 75 gallon tank and after it is done cycling i was wondering what to stock it with. There are about 5 or 6 fish that i have always wanted but i dont know if they would all get along or even fit in that size tank. The main fish I would like to have are a lionfish, bursa trigger, heniochus butterfly, coral beauty, and blue hippo tang. I would like to have some of these to use as the center peice of the tank with other smaller fish to fill in the tank. Please let me know what would be the best choices and which ones would get along because I am very sure that they dont all get along.

it is a female kitten and for the first couple of days she was very playful. I have had to tap her nose (lightly) a few times for her being bad and i also gave her a bath yesterday and now all she does is try to find somewhere to hide and sleep. Is this natural or is she scared of me?
