Hello everyone. Here is my problem: My dog barks at everything. She gets alot of attention, but whenever I leave the house she barks. When family members come home, she barks. I tried spraying her in the face with a water bottle, she likes it. I tried approaching with a firm "NO" and tapping her lightly on the nose, that doesn't work either. I've ignored her when I get home, she keeps going.

I'm very frustrated. When new people come to the house, she doesn't bite but won't let them pet her. She circles them, barking and growling.

I have socialized her with people and other animals her entire life. She's been a barker starting when she was a month old. (I have her mother, I kept Cerebus when Angel had the litter)

Any help would be appreciated. I don't want her barking when I'm away, barking when i get home, or barking/growling at new people. She's getting my older dog into the habit now..

I have tried so many things. She don't do it all the time. We take her with us alot of places, and I think it may be anxiety when we leave. I have had her tested for urinary tract infections, and she has never had any. Any sugestions?

Today I went to the vet for my 10 month old Border Collie Mixs' 2nd puppy vist.

She got her 2nd shots & got checked for worms. Well, actually she is being potty trained so she sleeps in a kennel at night. Well, I was cleaning the kennel & found some worms in there. I brought them to the vet today & they we're round worms. They checked her stool & she had hook worms in there. They gave me some medicine to get rid of them. My question is, how do they go away? Does she poop them out? Or do they just die/disappear? I forgot to ask my vet this question & they are closed now. I am really needed to know so when she poops & if there's stuff in it I'm not thinking something is wrong with my puppy, Maddie.

I hear the terms backyard breeder and puppy mill. What is the difference? If a person has 3 dogs, they live in the house and they produce puppies...is this a backyard breeder or a puppy mill?

I wonder if my tortoiseshell kitten could be retarded?

She has a extremely long tail,
large floppy gremlin ears,
she has a long skinny neck,
her eyes look strange (human-like but slightly lazy & sunken in), and her belly looks like a pot-belly pig.

She pisses on things (floor; herself while walking around; even her twin sister)
She eats all the food at once (cares less about her sisters needs)
She knees my boobs and licks my face raw @ night.
She don't chase toys, her hand-paw coordination is WAY off!! She only plays with her twin sis who takes it easy with her and lets her win often.
She gets spooked often (over little or NOTHING at all)
Her sis seams to look out for her.
Her twin sis meows (& she comes) and bosses her around and she listens.
Never covers her poop up.
Never listens to us (her sis does).
She either over loves us or just plain crabby.
She has a hard time cleaning herself.

Has anyone had a retarded cat? Is it possible? How do you know for sure?

When training a dog and applying a physical correction, do you think it's better if the dog knows the correction came from you or remotely? Which do you think is better?
Please, only serious answers with the focus being on physical corrections.

My Border Collie, Jake is really a "scaredy cat!" He's really a cool, and smart dog, but he's afraid of everything! If he hears noises outside, like a truck, or tractor or something, he won't even go to the bathroom! I've tried staying out with him, and getting him used to noises, but he just isn't getting any better about it. As a matter of fact, I think he is getting worse. Do I need to call Caeser? Help!

I have two very small American Eskimo/Pom puppies. Tuffy is 6 months old and Sassy is 5 months old. Sassy weighs two pounds more than Tuffy, so she usually wins any disagreements they may have. She takes away whatever she wants from Tuffy. She'll bite his rear, hind leg and has caused injury to the point of me having to take Tuffy to the vet for some anti-inflammatories. This is the third time it's happened.

Is there any thing I can do? I asked my vet, and she said to watch them closely, so Sassy doesn't two it again. Well, how am I supposed to do that? I can't sit there and watch them all day long. Is there any way I can teach Sassy that what she's doing in not acceptable? She knows what she's doing ... as she always targets the same "weak" hind leg. :(
