it just sounds like hairballs... but you should take him to the vet if you think it's a concern.

If food is coming up each time and the cat keeps trying to throw up every half hour, it's pancreatitis and that is dangerous and needs vet treatment (we just went through this with one of ours).
If there's globs of fur in each barf, then it's hair balls. The brown is the residue end of digested food and bile from the stomach. If there was no food in and a hairball came up usually it's in either clear fluid (from water the cat drank) or yellow (bile in the stomach and nothing else in there).
They don't like to throw up, so I know the cat's not having a good time of this. Start brushing her more, to help get more loose fur off her. Don't do the tail, just the neck, shoulders, back and sides which is where most of the shedding happens.

If your cat is a bit "old" then it's probably going through some age problems. If your cat is long haired then it's prob lay just cleaning it self to much so brush your cat more. Because your cat has been doing this for 6 days you should really take it to the vet because it sounds he could use some antibiotics!

Well it could be a hairball but on the other hand it could be much more serious like an intestinal blockage ( one cat of mine actually had an enlarged liver that caused these symptoms) so the best thing to do is to take him to a vet and let the expert decide. Hopefully it will just be furballs and easily fixed.
Good luck to you and your cat.

You really need to take the cat to the vet. It sounds like she is constipated and this is very serious. I'd almost bet after 6 days of this she is in fact dehydrated.

It sounds serious! Six days is a long time. You should call the vet and speak to someone there. They will tell you if the cat should be bought to the vet for medical attention or what you should be doing for your cat.

I know you have already heard this but...take her to the vet. Your cat is probably coughing up hairballs but after six days it is very possible that there is another problem Could your cat have eaten something that may be stuck in her throat?

I am not sure but If I were you I would take her/him to the vet's office. Your cat most likely has a stomach flu or an infection. Most likely nothing serious but you need to get it checked out.

Its just hairballs, calm down. It's summer, cats shed more, and if you don't brush it at least twice a day, it all goes right down their throats when they clean themselves. And....what goes down sometimes just has to come up, especially if they're working extra hard to hack one up...they'll empty out the contents of their stomach as well if they overdo it. For now, get a hairball formula cat food and start brushing her religiously!

is her hair brown.if it is it could just be a hairball cause my cat is shedding bad.also i would suggest usiing a little less food if she eats alot and use a little bit of vegitable oil to keep it down and try hairball remedy and see if it works.if nothing else go to a vet get her checked out.any further questions email me at vanillashake101@gmail.com

She may be coughing up hairballs. It's very common for cats, they groom themselves, swallow the hair, and it has to come back up again, they can't digest it.
However, doing it for days on end isn't normal, and I strongly suggest you take your kitty to vet ASAP! That way you'll know for sure.
